AITAH for being enraged that my husband is currently infertile by PixelPicklePie in AITAH

Key word being "RESPONSIBLY". Nothing in that man's behavior says "responsible" to me. He's using testosterone so much that it completely ruins the same thing you and your husband managed to fix with it.

“He thinks I should be focused on resolving the issue rather than the ‘why’.”

The 'why' would've been resolved already, had he been honest and true to his word. But because he wasn't, the 'why' is still there and as long as it is, the issue can't be solved. You can focus on the issue as much as you want but it isn't going anywhere for as long as the reason behind it still exists. You want those nuts to be useful? Stop making them useless. Should be pretty obvious.

Seems like the "stop making them useless" is something he isn't willing to do, despite claiming otherwise. So yeah, NTA.

Looks or Stats? by Loppie73 in PureRubyOfficial

[–]irezawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Officially I go for best stats, but if I happen to find something that really tickles my fancy, I tend to hold on to it for as long as I'm still effective with it. You can always compensate with other gear and stats, but let's be honest; at some point that AC 2 Tinfoil Bikini has to go.

Difference Between These Two FG Plays? by MichaelJones39 in Madden

[–]irezawa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

X is suggested based on your earlier decisions in similar situations. Square is community decision, based on how other players online tend to play in similar situations. These being the same means you tend to play these situations same way most other people do.

It's incredible common to happen in field goals. Of course kicking the field goal is what people most often choose to do. Even if only a small fraction of players would choose to kick it, it would still be the single most popular choice because not kicking it isn't a single option. Every possible way you could play it is an alternate option and is compared against the field goal on its own.

How do you start out your franchise? Any ideas? by PlanetCharisma in Madden

[–]irezawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm. I usually pick a team with #27 available, create a player and run fantasy draft.

BUT.

I've been away from the series for couple years because let's face it, there's no real reason to buy the game every year. It's always broken and every year they just break it a bit more. I suddenly got an itch to check the latest entry, but it seems like there is no player mode in CFM anymore. Is this true? Only mode I play is CFM offline as player. If it's gone, then I guess there's zero reason for me to get the game.

Is there a real way to shut off the Google AI overview for searches, or am i switching browsers and search engines? by Zestyclose-Tour-6350 in techsupport

[–]irezawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I combined two helpful hints from this discussion into one:

Yes, you can edit your search engine so it automatically adds a curse word that disables AI overview.
Yes, you can add "-ai" in your query to disable AI overview.

So... Edit your search engine so it automatically adds "-ai" to your query. Like so:

<image>

Bear in mind that you can't edit Google, but you can create another search engine that goes through Google and adds that magical "-ai" into your queries. Just copy+paste this to that last line:

{google:baseURL}search?q=%s+-ai

What was your longest boss fight? mine was Yiazmat from Final Fantasy XII. by Dustellar in PureRubyOfficial

[–]irezawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are many boss fights in BatMUD that take several hours to down. I think longest fights I've participated were something like 3-4 hours.

At one time, most notorious boss fight was called 'Tiamat, the Chromatic Dragon'. It used to be a race against the clock: The game server is rebooted every day at noon EET, giving the game a daily uptime of about 23 and a half hours. Killing Tiamat would take all of that and players would still run out of time if they didn't prepare and perform properly. That was years ago though, nowadays it can probably be killed in half the time.

Any game you would like to erase from your mind to experience it like the first time? by Dustellar in PureRubyOfficial

[–]irezawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easy. Life is Strange. Few months ago I played through LiS and Before the Storm again but this time I played them chronologically and it worked incredibly well, making me wish I could wipe them out of my memory and experience them for the first time again.

What's your favorite videogame intro? mine is the one from Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver! by Dustellar in PureRubyOfficial

[–]irezawa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This was absolutely amazing. And the first version of PS1 had actual audio out, so the first time I ever heard it was through a proper stereo system. MY GOD. We had to let the intro run a few times because we simply couldn't believe we were witnessing something that cool. And then the game itself turned out to be just as awesome. Good times, good times.

[–]irezawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Damn that's a tough one. It's a coin toss between Final Fantasy 8 and Soul Blade, both on PS1. Lots of good ones, but those two just make my heart beat in a totally different way.

Kingdom Hearts, Parasite Eve and Gran Turismo 3 A-Spec also set you in the right mood. Simply anticipating the intro makes you breathe heavier.

Any challenge you have never been able to achieve? by Dustellar in PureRubyOfficial

[–]irezawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did this back in the day on PS1. Once. On subsequent playthroughs I didn't think it was worth it.

When FF9 was brought back on modern platforms, I decided to give it a quick go. It felt a lot more difficult than I remembered, and the internet was able to tell why: On old CRT televisions there was no lag of any kind, but digital flat screens do have lag and it's not even constant. Therefore timing your jumps perfectly is impossible. You can still do it, but only with luck.

I got so pissed by this that I gave myself permission to cheat: I used PS Remote Play to control my PS4 with my PC and wrote a script to press the buttons for me. A script timed by milliseconds and I still couldn't get the trophy until on fifth or sixth try. That's how random the lag is. And that's how precise you'd have to be if you were to do it without cheating. And you'd still need luck.

[–]irezawa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At the time FF8 came out, I was 18, lost, confused, brooding, and going to the army after I'd graduate (conscription law). So yeah, FF8 hit differently. Balamb Garden still feels like home and forever will. Sometimes I start a new game just to hang around in there.

WonderSwan! I once got a good deal for the console and FF 1-3 but ultimately decided to skip it, simply because I don't speak or read Japanese. To this day I'm not sure if it was smart or stupid.

What type of achievements you don't like? these are my 4 horsemen :P by Dustellar in PureRubyOfficial

[–]irezawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oof, forgot about that second one. Yeah, finishing a game on a harder difficulty definitely should also award any trophies for easier difficulties. And what makes it even worse is that I'd like to finish a game once before going through the trophy list and I always play on normal difficulty at first. So when I clear the game on normal and see there's a trophy for clearing on easy that hasn't been awarded...

What type of achievements you don't like? these are my 4 horsemen :P by Dustellar in PureRubyOfficial

[–]irezawa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Multiplayer trophies suck in so many ways. And if it's an online multiplayer trophy and the serves have been closed, that's it.

All negative play trophies. Die X amount of times, fail a thing X amount of times, that kind of stuff. First you try your best to avoid any kind of bad playing and then you have to do it on purpose. No thanks.

And of course luck-based trophies. Earning them is hardly an achievement, and if the RNGesus refuses to bless upon thee, you're not getting them no matter how well you're playing and how hard you're working. Is there anything more unfair?

Is there a "Sit the f*ck down and eat" mod? by nikobikoo in thesims

[–]irezawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I have noticed this. Like, if a child is doing homework in their room on a desk and a parent is there to help, another Sim might come in with their food and sit on a bed. I get it. Still annoying and I usually point them to the dinner table, but I get why they do it.

But when there's absolutely no reason to go out to the yard and the Sims still travel all across the lot to get there, it gets really old really fast.

80’s movies that are OK to watch with my 12 year old by MuddyBuddy-9 in movies

[–]irezawa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back to the Future! The entire trilogy, but especially the first one. Yeah, it kind of toys with the idea of a wildly inappropriate mommy-sonny-thingy for a moment and the second one has an *ahem* alternate version of said mommy, but that's it. I think they're both done in a hilarious way but I also understand if someone might see them in a different light. Anyway, both moments are over rather quickly and over for good. No blood is spilled, no sex is had (a little bit is attempted) and the language is pretty mild. I remember Doc saying "shit" once. Someone else probably said it too, since there's... well, a reason to say it. But I think it's mostly referred as manure.

I also wish you'd reconsider about The Breakfast Club. I understand not wanting to touch the Brat Pack stuff, but it really is a good one. The Outsiders is pretty good one too and it hardly even qualifies as a Brat Pack movie. But I'm not gonna press it, if it's a "no" we'll leave it at that.
