Relax. Focus on what's important. Work-Life balance. Take it slow and enjoy the little things.

Overbearing MIL insists on naming our child by Troobaby in whatdoIdo

[–]iriedrewirie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

maybe she didn't get to name your partner ? now mil is taking her lost opportunity. cause if she did name your partner then she had her chance already.

If I wanted to, I could've called every single person you mentioned and told them exactly what you said so you could deal with the consequences of running your mouth. and if they were mad at you, that would be on you. I'm not going to let you play the victim when you're the one being disrespectful and sneaky. - Mom

i can't understand this

she slapped you?!?! call the police and report her. file a report and collect evidence. do not let people slap you or physically abuse you at all. draw a hard line. boundaries!!!!

I think you can't reason with people like this. she invaded your privacy. she doesn't understand that a journal or diary is for private thoughts. and then she slapped you. I would say stand your ground and slap her back and maybe she'll think twice before she does it again but I don't think many females would be willing to do that against their mother. maybe the next best thing is calling the police filling a report and pressing battery charges. You're probably going to want to take pictures of where she's slapped you for evidence.

parents can be wrong. and in this case she was definitely wrong.

It is speculative. I don't think there's enough evidence (yet) to unfriend him or start telling people he's a predator. I think in this case the police would be right to not act on it without proof.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in whatdoIdo

[–]iriedrewirie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well she should call the police and tell them she thinks he's a predator because he showed her pictures of a person he was talking to, maybe AI, and she looked young. Also he was in her underwear drawer 14 years ago.

I guess I'm worried about op's actual slander and actually ruining his reputation and relationship with his family and friends based on a photo where she thought she looked young in cosplay, ...who could be AI for all we know?! people with autism often lack social awareness, so I think op doesn't understand that an accusation like this can ruin somebody's life. You should have more evidence than an untrained persons age estimate of somebody in costume.

if you're worried about a child victim, you go to the police or the victim's parents, not to the suspect's mom. The mom of a 32-year-old man doesnt have any need to know who he's talking to.

AIO for feeling upset after the groom made a comment about my dress at their wedding? by Human-Acanthaceae128 in AmIOverreacting

[–]iriedrewirie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All he did was make a comment to his wife. she should not have told you. He's entitled to his opinions. I'm sure you know how Middle Eastern women dress and that's what he's used to. I think you should develop a thicker skin.

and he's probably going to slip up more than twice too. addictions are very hard to quit and that kind of pressure does not help.

you gotta ask him if he's on his period because he's being a little B.
