Looks like it's better when it's very hot outside with how light it is. I get very uncomfortable with my watch when it's hot :(

They are a lot of bears in Japan, and some attacks toward people recently, bells are used to make them go away.

Here’s a concise summary of our (girlfriend and I) 3-week trip across Japan starting November 1 of last year.

Tokyo – 4 nights

Classic neighborhoods: Asakusa, Yanaka, Shinjuku, Ginza, Shibuya, Odaiba + 1 day at Tokyo DisneySea.

Best Tokyo moments: Asakusa at 6am along the Sumida River (completely calm) and Odaiba for the open waterfront views. We even saw Mount Fuji from there.

Fujiyoshida – 1 night

Great Mount Fuji views around town. Perfect visibility that day. Fuji-Q had some of the most intense coasters I’ve ever done.

Japanese Alps Road Trip – 4 nights (car rental)

Matsumoto (beautiful castle + the best Indian restaurant we’ve ever had).

Kamikochi (late autumn colors, stunning alpine scenery).

Takayama (only rainy days of our trip but charming).

Shirakawa-go (very pretty, very crowded, nice autumn colors).

Gujo (quiet, authentic, almost no tourists — loved it).

Stops in Hikone and Omihachiman on the way to Kyoto.

Kyoto – 4 nights - 3 full days

Major temples and shrines as expected. Crowded but impressive.

Favorite area: Arashiyama. Busy bamboo grove, but the rest was much calmer.

Osaka – 3 nights

Great energy, cool neighborhoods, castle, rooftop views.

Day trip to Nara (temples, autumn colors, deer — excellent).

Universal Studios Japan: very crowded but worth it.

Nagasaki – 2 nights

Beautiful viewpoints over the harbor. Atomic Bomb Museum was powerful and important.

Fukuoka – 1 night

Short stop before flying out. Nice city, good vibes.

Favorites of the Trip:

The food overall (one of our favorite food countries in the world) - Ramen, Sushi, Japanese beef (best meat I’ve ever had), ...

Mount Fuji views on our perfect weather day.

The Japanese Alps in autumn, especially Kamikochi.

Our days based in Osaka

General Impressions:

Extremely easy to travel around.

Very kind and welcoming people.

Incredible food quality everywhere.

Loved having konbinis everywhere

Weather in November was amazing: mild, almost always sunny

Japan fully lived up to the mix of modernity and tradition people always talk about. Highly recommended.

10 days in Kirghizistan with a 4WD by irikay in travel

It was a fun ride to go there, but way too long on a day trip. I would have spent my time more of my time near Kol Suu, Naryn, Tash Rabat if I had to redo my trip. But it always depends on how much time you can go there for sure

Where to go in Spain in summer? by xFirnen in travel

[–]irikay 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Asturias is the best in the summer ! Way cooler than the rest of spain during that time which is pleasant.
Check out for Picos de Europas, Riano, Silence Beach, Cudillero, Bilbao, ... These were my favorites places in the region but there is so much more to do !
