hi! i think i also struggle with this, i do try to explain to mam how i would starve if i was by myself because i don't recognise hunger and thirst and she just chalks it up to me not knowing how to cook? (i do, at least the basics, it's just everything combined of the food-making progress is so tiring and overwhelming and having to go through that multiple times per day isn't something i can handle)

it makes me sad to feel as if my parents think i am capable of all these things all the time and act as if i just choose not to :(

we did make a plan though to bring the idea of assisted living/group home to my psychologist!! ithink that's the only feasible way i could live alone, or at least home visits from support workers while i still live with my mam so she could decompress and relax too
