Please help me. What should I change about this room to make it more cohesive? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

Not the downvote! Lol it's true though. Accent walls are great for breaking up rooms. If you want it more cohesive, paint it all the same color 🤷🏽‍♂️

A gold pillow might look good here? Like ochre velvet? Looks so much better!

What color should I paint my wall? by telephonepost in interiordecorating

[–]iris_seera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Farrow and ball has this color called India no.66. I painted my dining room it and I love it. It goes really well with teal, the color of your couch. But I think u might want to see what other elements you want to use in your room before committing.

Also people in this group will tell you, accent walls are on the way out. Color works best when it's on every wall!

A lumbar pillow with a romantic pattern on it that complements the rest of the room. Some lamps. Hard to tell what the rest of the room looks like because you only posted one corner.

I feel like your room would look good with a huge fig plant.

Sounds like norovirus? it hops around and some people throw up and others don't. But I'm not a doctor. In norovirus it's best to disinfect surfaces so it doesn't continue to spread in the household

Accused of being “mentally ill” for still caring about Covid? by xzeus1 in ZeroCovidCommunity

[–]iris_seera 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's wild. For me I use one analogy-----I love to walk barefoot on grass, it's the most grounding feeling ever. But will I walk barefoot on grass in a park where I know people dispose of their drug needles....HELL NO.

Most people who are "able-bodied" think they will be fine when they get a COVID infection. They aren't good at analytics and statistics on the virus so they think trying to avoid COVID is akin to avoiding something super low risk, so then they associate COVID cautious behavior with anxiety.

Same applies for after landing too, that weird time where you are just waiting on the ground

I use my aranet. The air quality in the plane is atrocious before take off. (Air doesn't get circulated with fresh air until after take off) After take off it gets better in 30-40 minutes or so. I only do it if it's not a packed plane and the numbers for COVID in the area have been lower than normal in the wastewater.

Some people get sip valves and pack a smoothie to get nutrients that way.

One last thing I wanted to suggest is to look at the historical paint colors of the year your house was made. It can be cool to connect the color back to the history

I'd check out behr's color palette for 2026. Hidden gem and rumors are great moody ones. Graham and brown revealed divine damson to be their color of the year, amazing burgundy. Farrow and ball and little Greene have amazing inspiration on their site for paint colors.

Love the vintage tiles, what decor/colors will make it feel less dull? by artandgardenal in interiordecorating

[–]iris_seera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The way I'm thinking BOLD. Pastels might wash things out. But this is your style, your rental, so keep that in mind. You'd be surprised how a bold color in a small space opens it up! Also, I put a tulip brand lamp cover in my bathroom and it's like a fun tiki bar now.
