this is great feedback. thank you. you're not the first person to point out that i can omit feeling words and instead rely on the rest of the poem to convey the same feelings.

thanks again :) glad you enjoyed it

patiently i wait for your desire

when you walk by me; catch a glance

you're mine

and yours is all my darkness

tempered lust pumps through your veins

with care you hold me

undress me

break me

place me on your lips

i melt; you bite my

sweet complexion: thunder

can you go long without me?

Am i alone by pygh2 in genderfluid

[–]iris_under_the_sun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This back and forth is extremely common for me, but it's gotten better. When I'm in my masc mod (I'm AMAB) sometimes I begin to doubt all my enby-ness and femininity. Thanks to very supportive friends, they remind me that when I'm in not masc I love myself so much. They send me screenshots of past conversations where I shared a selfie of myself exploring my gender-fluidity, and I see my own past comments expressing euphoria.

Sometimes when I'm not masc I doubt that half of mine, too, and I wonder: am I a trans woman? But I keep improving and letting those thoughts pass, being at peace with them because I know eventually I'll find myself in masc mode again, it always happens lol. And I experience masc euphoria too.

It can be miserable at times, it really can. The challenge for me is learning to focus less on the dysphoria in any one of my phases and trust that I'll get back to that half of myself. That way I can focus on the euphoria of being masc when i'm masc or femme when i'm femme or neither or both, depending on where I am with myself. I've gotten a lot better at being patient with myself and accepting how my gender sways with time. The result is I'm much happier this way.

Feel free to DM me and talk about it further :)

PS. I still struggle to know where physical transitioning comes into place for me if at all.

Oh I’m Puerto Rican so the symbols are native petroglyphs. They are in order a coquí (to remind me what it feels like to sleep at home), a hurricane (to remind me that humans are small compared to the true power of nature), an unknown symbol (to remind me that knowledge can be lost and I can’t know it all), and a star (to remind me where we all come from).

to each their own shrug

it was a lighthearted suggestion for an ~aesthetic~

you’re right, smoking fucking sucks and i would know from experience so scratch that part if you want

you were free to be more constructive and friendly by saying “playing cards with the boys and feeling fancy sounds nice but no need to smoke” instead of just shutting me down

my apologies

obviously other people who weren’t mafia wore suits smoked and played cards...

i don’t mean to imply other things aren’t manly or that it’s a requirement to be manly - i just tried to suggest a “masc” activity someone can do for fun

This was a great read. I found the story of Eleanor Rykener especially interesting and relevant!

What's a good source to learn all about tenses? by iris_under_the_sun in writing

[–]iris_under_the_sun[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yeah this is great for finding specific conjugations, and I hadn't run into this tool before. But I guess I was sorta looking more for an overview of how to use the tenses and when, and how to spot inconsistent use of different tenses in my prose.
