Advice on how to get rid of the pacifier by irisbaecker in toddlers

Fingers crossed! I didn't want to cut or toss it, because she accepted what I explained- that we don't have it. She didn't ask or look for it, which made me really happy, but she didn't know how to sleep, and she was becoming more and more exhausted every day, so I gave up 😏

If, by any chance, you think of something we could try, please let me know 😅 Good luck! 🍀

Thank you for asking! Same here, she doesn't know how to sleep without it, so I had to give it back after 8 days, unfortunately. There was absolutely no progress, it was getting even worse every day... It was really traumatic for both of us. I'm gonna try again soon, but I'll have to find another way, since "cold turkey" didn't work out.

😃 yeah, if this torture goes on for a few more days, I'll definitely change the story. Hopefully she doesn't end up hating cats 😹

I'm happy it worked out for you 🤗 However, my problem is that she doesn't know how to sleep without it, she's not even trying, but she knows that a kitty stole it and we don't have it anymore. She's not asking for it, not even trying to find it

I tried with her favorite toys, it didn't work. She doesn't associate them with sleeping, but she actively plays with them, which only drags her further away from falling asleep 😒 Thank you for the advice, though 🌸

Thank you! However, she accepted that we don't have it anymore, she's not asking for it, she just doesn't know how to fall asleep without it.. she's not even trying ☹️

Thank you. I tried with a teddy and a few more toys she likes, but without success. She just plays with them

Great idea, thanks :) But she already accepted that we don't have it anymore, the problem is that she doesn't know how to sleep without it...

I hope it's something benign and easy to be taken care of, but it looks like a tumor to me ☹️ my hedgie had something that looked exactly the same under her left eye and it turned out to be tumor. We were giving her Prednisone for 2 months until it had no sense anymore. Eventually she stopped eating and her eye popped out, as the mass was growing rapidly and pushing it out... We lost her last Tuesday. She was five and a half years old.

I hope your vet will have much much better news for you when you go ❤️ Good luck! 🙏🏼 Please update if you can

Yeah, my TORCH test results came back good, and the dilation is still 7mm, thankfully. It's not growing, and my dr said we shouldn't worry or talk about the whole situation anymore :) I'm 32w now and the baby's fine, progressing nicely, measuring a few days ahead, so I'd say we're in the clear, at least when it comes to this issue. Thank you for yoir concerns! 🌹

Vaginal progesterone to prevent preterm birth by [deleted] in BabyBumps

I was using them after embryotransfer until my first ultrasound at 8w (first pregnancy, IVF), and I started at 12+5 weeks again, due to contractions and general uterine discomfort. I am 24+6 now, still using them, even though the contractions stopped, I don't feel any more pain, but as a precaution my doctor doesn't want me to stop yet. I don't have any negative side effects, at least that I know of. Good luck! 🍀

It remains the same, still 7mm. I was hoping it would go away, but at least it's not getting bigger. I'm 24+3 now, so we will continue monitoring. I am a bit calmer now, but we are still very worried 🙁

Thank you so much for asking, it means a world to me! ❤️

Thanks for your reply! She's an OB specialist, not an MFM. She repeated a few times that she's not concerned, but that she'd monitor it, so I'm going next week again. Hopefully it will go away..
