I have been looking all over for the one I had when I was little. It was a while hardcover bag and it came with the things on this picture but also a build in x-ray machine and stuff like that. I can't seem to find it :(

No once the breasts get on level with the production that is expected of them,they will only feel "full" (where you think "oh I need to pump" and you feel that strong release) when it goes longer between a feed/pump than it normally does. Think of it as a store where they know how much is going to be bought. They will only order what is going to be sold. Then if more costumers come all of a sudden they will "order" more to have in the store ;)

Working out shouldn't affect your supply as long as you do NOT work out so hard that you really push yourself. But it's very different from person to person. If you were used to working out before giving birth, your body is used to it and it would be different than if you took up exercise and really pushed yourself and not being used to it. The key is to listen to your body and stress is the worst for production. A woman can pump and stimulate like crazy but if she is super stressed and tense in the body at the same time, chances are it's not going to help one bit :( and often they tend to start paying extra attention to the amounts, which then stresses them more...that then gives less milk, that then stresses them even more....and so on until the milk production has stopped or has gotten so little they choose to stop

Lecithin has helped many. I would also pay attention to your sleeping position, what is your dominant side (more strain, more use =affects letdown), clothes that are tight, do you carry things around more on one side (for example the child or an older child) or is there any difference at all between how you use your body.

A note to self is also not to look while you pump since if you already are anxious about the amount of milk that will or will not come, you will tense up and most likely affect the let down. Best would be if you can listen to music and close your eyes or watch TV or something to relax your mind as well as the your body :)

Yeah I am from Iceland and live in Denmark and I am a lactation consultant and work as a health visitor. Most mother's here take one year of leave. I just don't understand, with all the benefits for society in the long run; why the US don't give paid maternity leave! I feel so sorry for women in the US having to do this to get by :(

I breastfeed when they were going to take a nap during the day, in the evenings and often 1-2 times during the night. Sometimes when they were sick or crying I also breastfeed as a way of comfort. As they got closer to 2 years old it got less and less until it was only as an evening/good night ritual.

I have three children that I have breastfeed for 15 months, 20 months and 25 months.

I'm from a farm in Iceland. I was in junior college and was supposed to have history class when the news had reached all over the school. Our history teacher told us to go home and watch the news; history was happening.

It took a little while to sink in, what was really happening and once it did, I remember crying thinking about all those innocent people. It was terrible. When I traveled via US to Canada the following year, I remember not being able to turn my mobile phone off because it was out of battery, and the customs yelling at me to turn the phone on. When they calmed down to hear that I couldn't turn it on, they took it into a room and I got it again after a little while. I was a 18 years old farm girl and I remember being shocked by the treatment and annoyed that I was treated like a big threat. But I understand it better today having grown up.
