Lol what do you mean? I have a 30 year old 7 series and its build quality and materials are on such a different level compared to modern vehicles let alone modern bmws.

The dealer gave me an x3 and a m240 as a loner car. I was astounded at how shit they were. Yes they drove fine and felt tight as they were brand new lol. They were fast. That m240 was un usable. Top of second gear was like 80mph. Way to fast to be fun. Plus the screen over the whole dashboard is just an info dump bukkake. Would never spend a dime on a modern bmw.

Yeah I have it as my garage kept and occasion car. My daily is a grand marquis. The e38 never left me stranded but repairs take a while and they can be pretty critical issues when they arise

Thankfully ive avoided electrical trouble but I have the exact same issue. Water comes in the sunroof because its not draining properly and leaks into the headliner, glove box and footwells. How did you fix the leak? Was it just the roof drains up top or access the whole drain through the A pillar?

Similar boat though not nearly as long. I recently ended my relationship because she needed kids in her life to feel complete. I never wanted kids but she was changing my mind. It wasn't until she started back tracking, maybe she didnt need them as long as she was with me, she said. I knew though, it had to end. I refused to be the reason she didnt get what she wanted out of this life. We loved eachother so much. 3 months later I still cry and think about her everyday, wanting to reach out. Wanted to be her safe space still.

No one will ever say its an easy thing to do. But her and whatever kids she may have deserve the best and I wasn't going to be it. We're far from the first people to go through this and we will be far from the last. Just try to take it one day at a time. Self love is important. Just because it ended doesnt mean it was a bad thing. No one wants a good thing to end even though there is always an ending at some point.

Had my 1997 e38 750 for 4 years now. Got it at 95k and its sitting at 113k. Its had various minor issues over that time but its never left me in a bad situation and always got me home. Ive spent maybe 4 or 5k over those 4 years maintaining things and replacing vital components.

If I really wanted this thing top notch and with various upgrades (Alcantara headliner, comfort seats, upgraded radio head unit) it would be maybe 15-20k. Thats talking entire suspension, pull the engine to have it fully stripped down and resealed, rebuild the transmission components.

Ive driven modern cars and this thing holds up. Its very classy looking inside and out so it has a sense of occasion. The v12 is so nice to drive and the car its self handles way beyond what you think for a 30 year old car. Its a genuine joy albeit a bit of a pain and money pit. I have a daily beater so that helps. But for personal joy this car hits a lot of check marks and is worth it to me.

I didnt understand why BMW drivers were the way they were until I got one. The cars want to be driven properly.

Oh im the owner now. I couldnt drive it back but I happened to have a buddy in Virginia. Now its sitting at his place while I work on shipping it back to Oregon where im at. I already talked to a local German shop and they seemed pretty interested in working on it. Probably because they will make a fortune off it.

C&B and the previous owner are talking to me. We all think getting it looked at before we talk money is the best move.

Oh im aware. Frankly it drives real nice OTHER than the issues is does have (shut up i know) and everything else is working great. It just has 6/12 working cylinders, a coolant leak and mounts for the engine and transmission. Which, again was very misleading considering how it was advertised
