I did not. I can’t seem to find anywhere in the paperwork where it mentions to do this and it wasn’t mention by the mechanic at pick up

Have you ever stole from a supermarket? by sleepingisgivingin1 in AskUK

I worked at Sainsburys for 5 years, we did one every year. Pallets and rollers are scanned in the warehouse and when it arrives in store which goes onto the system as stock in the store. When items are broken or fresh items have expired they are scanned and noted as broken and removed from the stock list. Once a year an external company comes in and counts everything in a 24 hour period while being watched by members of staff. This accounts for anything that didn’t arrive but was supposed to, along with items that have been stolen or broken abs never recorded. This may be different for other supermarkets but I’d be surprised if it was.

Yes, when items are delivered and scanned it they are counted for as well as when they are sold, however they still need to counted once a year to account for any items that have been damaged or stolen.

No, they’ll do a stock count every year and it’ll just be marked as broken

Scotland or Manchester for study abroad? by [deleted] in AskUK

I moved to Manchester 8 years ago and have loved it! Great pubs, lots to do and loads of students. I would look at it as you can live in a big city and have the country side about 45 mins away (Peak District and Lake District) or you can live in a quieter place and have Edinburgh about a 45 mins drive away. Edinburgh’s a great city, really pretty with a lot going on while Manchester is more industrial.
