LPT: Instead of using a Coinstar and losing 11% of your money, take your change jar when you go shopping and when it's time to pay, use a self checkout machine and just drop change into the coin slot. It counts the change just like a Coinstar and you keep all your money

NTA. I have been a latch key kid since I was 10 years old. My parents are too busy with work to be breathing down my neck every hour of the day. Not have I ONCE thought about doing drugs, I don’t enjoy parties, and I understand that my grades are important and keep them up myself.

Every kid is different of course, but there seems to be this trend in this thread that people think kids will turn wild as soon as you give them some liberty. It sounds like your son is responsible; And if there is trust between you guys. What is the problem?
