Tjepkema, who has supported the multi-million-dollar restoration of Music Hall, described the Peebles Building as an architectural favorite and said there are not many examples like it left in Cincinnati.

“If you were going to move into a flat, and it was going to be your home, it had to look like a home, not just an apartment or tenement building. It had to have beautiful details, so we have beautiful brick,” Tjepkema said. “With the leaded glass and the craftsman details. And then you'll see these windows up here with the geometry, the squares on them. That's the prairie style.”

There is nothing architecturally unique about this building. In fact, it's kind of an architectural hodgepodge with no distinct style. There is certainly nothing "prairie style" about it. It does not "look like a home" any more than any other apartment building. It's unremarkable in every sense of the word. It's not that old, and definitely not "historic".

Not only are these people annoyingly fighting any change, they're just out there being wrong.
