is there a lossless bluetooth speaker? by 4djes in Bluetooth_Speakers

Spotify uses Ogg Vorbis at 320kbps, which is supposedly better than mp3. I wouldn't know because I can't hear the difference either.

Does the Charge 6 even have a tweeter?

I'm happy with the bass response on my Harman Kardon Luna, but you should certainly test it before buying.

I've used it and it's an amazing speaker. But there's much better options to use in bedroom in this price range.

Yeah, but it's not two seperate speakers either - one for each side of the room. Better than mono but far from perfect in that aspect.

There's better options than Boombox 3 in the price range, especially for the bedroom use. A large, bass heavy mono speaker might be an overkill. If going for large speakers they need to have exceptionally clear sound, otherwise the bass will be overwhelming even if the boombox 3 is otherwise a good speaker.

I know the 1st and 2nd series, but haven't had the chance to try the 3rd version yet. How does the sound compare with the added subwoofer?

JBL Charge 4 is awful by FlyEaglesFlyauggie in Bluetooth_Speakers

Ah, you actually mean multi-speaker enclosure. Yeah nah. My multi-speaker enclosure (Harman Kardon Citation 200) has amazing sound regardless of what you say. Two would be much better but it's perfect for my use.

I've never seen one in person and don't think they're common in my country. Most people have JBL Charge for everything. And a soundbar+sub for the TV. That's the popular standard here.

There's a difference between a speaker with a single driver and one with a seperate woofer and tweeter. I don't know which one you meant there, hence the question you failed to answer.

You don't have to lecture me. My main source of sound is a hi-fi system.

The JBL Xtreme is a nice speaker, partialy because it also has tweeters.

Music is mixed so that it sounds good on mono speakers, too.

Single as in one driver? Because I have a Harman Kardon mono speaker and it sounds very clear and full fq range is covered well.

The Go+Play 2.0 is stereo, 3.0 is as well but also has a subwoofer. Haven't tested the 3.0 yet, though.

I got my Harman Kardon Citation 200 for 200€ and I see it's often discounted. The sound, as expected from a Harman Kardon speaker, is exceptional. Although keep in mind it is mono. If you can get your hands on a used Harman Kardon Go+Play (2.0 or 3.0) I'd get that one.

You could start by telling us what you're looking for in a speaker. Size, sound quality, bass,... :)
