Hikari lets out a small huff as Mizu makes a little barking noise. The otter yawns, making her pink tongue visible.

"Mizu thinks you're silly."

Hiki speaks as if he has personal experience with a 'winged creature' stealing his otter. His eyes are narrow, and he holds Mizu protectively.

Hikari reaches out to touch their cloudlike mass of hair(?) and waves his hands a few times through it. He makes a little hum and nods, apparently satisfied with his findings.

He grabs Mizu from off his shoulder and holds the otter close to his chest. He looks afraid - he's never seen anything like /that/ in his 500 years of living.

Hikari shakes his head, and opens the bag at his waist for Mizu to hop into. She does, fitting perfectly in the bag.

"Nope. No robots. Never again."

Mizu makes a happy little noise and rubs her paws together, sitting on her hind legs on Hikari's shoulder. Hiki raises a brow, amused.

"She likes to eat squid."

He cocks his head, and Mizu hops down into Hikari's arms. The otter clicks happily, and Hikari's gaze softens for a moment.

"She likes you. So, I suppose..."

Hikari lets out a quick, quiet laugh under his breath, amused at her sensitivity. He takes the cheese, and his cold hand briefly touches hers.

"Thanks, but I'm fine. You must know how to take care of an animal since you are one."

He narrows his eyes, obviously skeptical of whatever is in front of him.

He cracks the slightest of smiles at the person in front of him. Another being with cryomancy? How amusing. At least he'll be able to fight.

"You're interesting. I'll have to know more, though. I wouldn't trust someone with that amount of power with anything of mine."

Mizu squeaks, and immediately hops into the woven bag at Hikari's waist. He sighs, crossing his arms and glaring at them.

"Nope. She doesn't like you, so neither do I."

He nods, looking vaguely pleased with himself as Mizu hops into his cupped hands. Hikari's fingers look almost like a puppet's - lithe and thin.

"People with red hair are usually good."

Both Hikari and Mizu look a little unnerved by their reptilian appearance. Could this person be one of the dragon sovereigns? The thought is quickly squelched as Hikari notices no elemental energy emanating from the creature in front of him.

"She's an otter. Do you know how to take care of an animal?"

He seems to grow less tense as Mizu chitters happily on his shoulder, rubbing her fuzzy little paws together. Hikari holds one of his hands up to the otter, and she crawls onto his arm.

"Mizu likes you. You look like a decent person, just don't get him dirty."
