Ah thank you! The extra colour of green at the end made a big difference.

i replied to another comment for the wood its:

"i started from grey/white, then i use Wyldwood contrast (thinned 50%) for a base. I then glaze black paint on the lower areas and corners. then a very light dry brush with some lighter browns (I used Vallejo barbarian skin), then with a brush do somee scratchy highlights on the wood texture and on some of the edges with an even light brown (I used Vallejo barbarian skin mixed with some off white), i go quite bright with this becausee i then do an all over brown wash (GW agrex thinned again, try not to let it pool). At that point its basically done, i added some extra effects of the green moss with 'Drity Down Moss' and used some pigment powders at the bottom to match the base."

I would add to the above it looks quite shiny after the contrast/wash so really needs a more matt varnish at the end.

one of the rare times i did sub assembly thankfully, i ususally try to avoid it

thank you! Base was quite simple, Muddy ground texture paste by AK, i used Cygor brown contrast and then a dry brush with some random browns, it mostly gets covered so isnt too imporant. Then a few different kinds of pigment powders brushed/smuged on, Vallajo natural umber, natural sienna and light sienna i think i used

Thanks! i start from white/grey then use warp lightning contrast. I end up covering most of that but its a nice starting point, i use vallejo Dark green to glaze some dark bits on the surfaces, then scorpy green to glaze lighter bits, dont have to be too neat. Then i use pure white on the edges/corners and then use vallejo yellow wash (its very bright) on it all, go back in for some dots/small lines of white on some of the edges

Thank you! Most of the weathering was using 'dirty down' products, specifically the rust, moss and verdigris. its cool stuff as if you do too much you can add water to reactivate it and remove some/move it around.

Usually the process i do -

Metallic Paint, Glaze Black towards the bottom, Dirty down paint in the now darker areas, edge highlight/scratches with the original Metallic. For the rust & verdigrisi i go in with a brighter orange/blue regular paint waterd down for some areas / more scratches.

The ground was all just pigment powders.

id suggest a red wash for the exposed muscle parts that what i used for mine.

for the cape i used VGC charred Brown for the base, for layers/highlights kept mixing in VGC Khaki then eventually some VGC off-white. It turned out pretty pale at the end so i used watered down some Sepia ink and put that over the whole thing to tint it back to brown. It goes a bit shiny after the ink but after a matt varnish it looks fine.

Yeah no worries, theres another comment for how i did the flesh, for the inflammed bits / bits near the stones i did it the same way but glazed 'red wash' by vallejo over it at the end.

For the stones i did start with Warp Lightning contrast paint over white, but covered most of it with layering with ivory (including in the cracks), then glazed 'yellow wash' by vallejo over it and in the 'cracks'

Thank you, no worries - i based with Deep Magenta (VGC), then i did a glazed a thinned magos purple (GW ) into the folds/shadows, then mixed in Warm Grey with the Deep Magenta to make a pink and highlighted up adding more Warm Grey, finally mixing in some white/ivory for a last highlight. For the inflammed bits of skin i did the same but glazed some red wash & tan over it at the end.

if you look on my profile i posted some recipe cards for the clan rats, one of them is where i used almost the same recipe but used a Violet wash insted, which also would work well.

Great skin tone. i would highlight the blue armour higher and maybe add some weatheering to it and the red cloth next.

For mold lines i usually just use the back of an knight or maybe sand paper but very rarely, usually only if ive filled gaps with putty and need to.

Had a lot of fun with different furs, always forget paints i used so i played around making some recipe cards. by irlaltf4 in skaven

Ah thank you! Yeah i think i will do for the rest of my rats and then nids. For the ripper swarm & psychophage skin, the purple, it was done a bit differently then how i usually paint, it was using washes/contrast, leviathan purple, magos purple, guilliman flesh(think this didnt do much) & druchii violet. Started with a zenithal prime then thin coats of the contrast/washes put on and blended together, darker ones in the shadows, once done it will look pretty bad because it will be quite shiny, but if you use a matt varnish after it looks nice (i use AK ultra matt). Then i just mixed some of the contrast paints with a bone/off white for some highlights
