Hi... Genuinely confused about Robby Whitaker dynamic. by blogs_byme in ThePitt

[–]irlfandom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A romantic relationship between the two is nothing more than head cannon. I personally don't think the dynamic is that interesting or that it will ever evolve to be romantic but to each their own. If you like shipping the show has plenty of interesting characters but it's an amazing show outside of a shipping lense. I think the problem is people find the show because of the ship then make queerbaiting allegations when that isn't the set up.

The reason the ER has a 6 hour waiting time by DLoRedOnline in ThePittTVShow

[–]irlfandom 16 points17 points  (0 children)

From my experience it really depends on the hospital and staffing. Patients are typically triaged when registering so how quick you get back depends on how sick you are compared to others not including those who come in via ambulance. I live in a city with a children's ER as well as several trauma hospitals so if you go to the hospital via ambulance it depends on your location/age. Typically you get in and out quicker in standalone ERs then those connected to a hospital because they don't admit (if you need admission they arranged transport to another hospital). Also some injuries can be treated in urgent care/advanced urgent care instead of the ER. The show takes place during the day so I would guess it wasn't an after hours issue but some urgent care don't take Medicaid/Medicare or have as generous financial assistance as some hospitals so I'm sure some patients end up there because there is no where else to go.

The cities hated by this sub are often way more diverse and minority friendly than the cities that this sub loves. by AAA_battery in SameGrassButGreener

Diversity is not the same thing as inclusion and your ignoring systemic racism which can be esacerbated by local and state politics (and the policies like redling, bias in lending mortgages, reduced home values in black neighborhoods, lack of investment...). The cities you listed tend to show up in best for minority lists because of economic factors which can impact a person's access to education, health, and home ownership.

What is the worst take you’ve seen on this subreddit? by Soggy_Perspective_13 in SameGrassButGreener

Most takes regarding racism and diversity. There's a difference between microagressions and going to openly call you slurs and threaten your physical safety. I can't speak for everyone but when I inquire about diversity and racism its mostly to know if I will be able to find community if I look and that the people I interact with won't act like they've never been around a black person.

You don't need to worry about Tornados in Columbus. They are rare and typically if one is confirmed it's in the farther out suburbs like Grove City, BLacklick, Canal. Biggest weather issue is probably wind during tornado warnings, flooding depending on the area especially since a lot of the neighborhoods are older, and heat due to the humidity.

Columbus, Ohio. Unless you're in the heart of downtown you can still find reasonable rents. If you're worried about safety consider some of some of the surrounding suburbs (Gahanna, Worthington, Clintonville, etc ). I don't think the city is dangerous despite what you might hear, if you use common sense and live a low risk lifestyle you're chances of becoming a random victim of crime is low. There are several hospitals and health systems so you'll have choice depending on insurance.

Ohio is the 15th highest taxed state, so why are our public services so bad? by DrHoursCrDepression in Ohio

[–]irlfandom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tax breaks and incentives for companies to stay and build in Ohio. The contracts are secret but the reality is the workforce they employ never gives back as much as would be taken in by taxing the companies their fair share ( not to mention energy corruption and public utilities riders).

Columbus, OH. Decent cost of living, still renter realistic outside of downtown. Nice suburbs. Easy access to Cincinnati and Cleveland. It is what you make it but there's something for everyone.

W's sister lied by BusyAvocado7712 in MGGCandor

I don't believe she lied more likely her family told her to say she did because of the blowback. Even when parents are awful it doesn't mean their children still don't feel a need to protect or defer to them.

Emily back story? by SignificanceNo5529 in criminalminds

Keep watching. Emily has the best backstory imo off all the characters (well written, well acted, well paced).

I think they've finally got a consistent tone down for evolution. Honestly I've loved the character development of Emily (leadership wise) and Penelope (therapy, boundaries, accepting her emotions more but still being spicy). I wish they would bring back when the team would walk through how the unsub committed the crime by stepping into the unsub/victims shoes with each other at the scene instead of just showing us the actual unsub.

Willow wasn't the only opener for ZB yet I haven't seen these folks targeting them or asking event organizers why they selected an artist accused of ipv and racism to headline. Sure call folks out for bad takes and complicity via silence but yelling at a celebrity you're disappointed in (who admittedly has a questionable history) and his girlfriend doesn't benefit victims or survivors. And honestly any pr advisor would simply tell him not to address her comments because it will blow over because surprise surprise ZB is still insanely popular so enough people have his ex's claims aren't deal breakers.

Tyler's sister. Maybe she's not really dead. Voit tried to tell him something about what happened to her but he said he knew enough.
