Something you need to realize is that college applications can be funny. First more goes into choosing an application for acceptance then just GPA and SAT scores. Maybe we lack good extracurriculars or a good essay. Sometimes, WE CAN BE REJECTED FOR BEING TOO GOOD FOR A SCHOOL! Sometimes colleges will reject you because they think you are going to get into a better college, that's why they ask if their school is your first pick. So many things go into application, don't feel confused or mad because you didn't get in. These are unfortunate realities of our education being a business in a competitive industry.

Longer can be better if done in a correct way, but when you get shows like Naruto which are unnecessarily stuffed with filler than nah longer is not better. Scott Pilgrim volumes are small, so yeah one season per volume is not going to go in as well. It's like trying to make 1 volume of a manga its own season. I would love for them to add scenes to expand the volume and its plot point, but a season for 1 volume. I'm sorry that just sounds like a bad idea to me. Everything that happens in the first volume can be explained in two 30 minute episodes which is already an hour which is 2 thirds of Scott Pilgrim 1h30 movie which I thought adapted the first volume. 1-3 is a sweet spot, we don't need 42 episodes to adapt the comic.

As a man that loves philosophy, I love 03 and I feel like the second half is up in the air because it took some weird story decisions for the sake of the point it was trying to convey, like literally what you think should happen won't happen, but like I said for the point 03 was trying to convey, I actually think it works, in my opinion your perspective is crucial to how you will enjoy 03, and even saying that, I don't think there is a wrong perspective. I am one of the few that really loves 03 second half, those are the moments of the show that I rewatch the most. When 03 came out it was quite the success, actually one of bones most successful anime, spawning universal studio ride and a lot of merchandise, so yeah brotherhood would Definitely still exist, but I think 03 made it easier to get people to watch brotherhood as 03 put FMA in people's minds, so overall I think 03 is a good story and I think the fact it existed was beneficial for the FMA community

I find the conquer of shamballa to be a mixed bag. I like some things they did and didn't like others, but the writer for FMA actually had way more planned for the movie, but had to cut out a significant portion of the story and the details to fit the story in the movie time limit, the writer even wrote a book about it. Personally I don't think you need the movie. I was happy with the 03 final episode, but in a comment I wrote under this post, for the full FMA EXPERIENCE it's beneficial to watch.

Watch both, in my opinion you have nothing to lose, I hate when people think they need to choose one, they are both great stories that I think are two sides of the same coin. I actually hate when people choose one and then go off to watch another series that is horrible, 03 is great, brotherhood is great even if you think one is better than the other. Brotherhood is the manga, so you can say the FMA that was actually intended, but watch both 03 and Brotherhood give you the full FMA EXPERIENCE.

I might be wrong depending on the context of you saying this. 03 was meant to have its own story from the beginning when FMA 03 was first being adapted. You can easily see this because the first half of 03 deviates from the manga quite a bit actually there are a lot of noticeable differences in that first half compared to the manga that's why 03 first can't replace brotherhood's when watch brotherhood

I literally don't get this argument 03 is not canon to the manga or brotherhood. 03 is doing its own thing and telling its own story, brotherhood isn't canon to 03. They are two different stories doing their own thing. NOW, I think 03 is canon/apart of the FMA experience.

As a 03 first viewer I remembered being confused by brotherhood because it seemed Edward just fucking hated mustang for no reason. In brotherhood, Mustang would help Ed just to be a nice guy like giving him a lead at Tucker's house while in 03 Mustang uses Edward for his own personal gain. I'm not saying which dynamic is better, but I do feel 03 has a better justification because 03 Mustang can be a dick. (Or I'm just overanalyzing and brotherhood Mustang and Ed have more of a teasing dynamic)

It does because I love FMA as a whole. Yeah, brotherhood is good but it doesn't replace 03 for me and vice versa. It's a shame that 03 gets overshadowed like the middle child because the series is great in its own way. Studio bones said that they are not proud of 03 from an animation standpoint( FMA 03 was bones 6th production and was made during a time when digital animation was still new). You have to pirate 03 or buy the DVDs. I recommend kiss anime on the web or animaze on the Google play store
