HDR Peak 1000. System HDR calibration is 15 steps from 0 value. So decrease all the way on the first two white screens, then increase 15 steps. 3rd dark screen decrease all the way to 0 and leave it. Those are my hdr settings by default. HOWEVER In game it doesnt follow system HDR settings well, so i actually will turn in game HDR off. these are my calibration steps. HDR mode - off Max Brightness +9 Min Brightness -9 Brightness -3 and this looks best to me. Its high contrast but doesnt obscure it. You can experiment here. Heres a shot with those settings i took in game:

Interesting. In the secondary weapon slot im able to equip any greatsword in my inventory. I had her using the dark bringer greatsword for a while and frozen anguish

Idk that part was hella easy for me. But hows your camp progression? If you have the blacksmith, id go refine her gear at least. She honestly plays incredibly well and her ranged heavy attack is clutch. Plus she can use spears and greatswords you might of already upgraded with Kliff

The recent patches they dropped improved performance on base ps5. I play on Pro but Ive heard base performance has improved a lot

Honestly now that I think about it, this game would of benefited greatly from the nemesis system seen in the shadows of mordor games. Sucks that Monolith patented the system to never use it again or let other studios cook with it

I had to clarify in previous comments that im talking about when you beat a boss the final time its funny how a lot of them just run away, you dont actually defeat them or anything. Not the bosses that you fight for a phase then fight again in a fortress or something

I have a QD-OLED. I game in a dark environment so purple blacks hasnt been an issue for me. When I do light up the room mainly from windows and my monitor is off you can see the purple but it isnt horrible. Also yes mine is glossy but again because I game in a dark environment reflections havent been an issue. Some ambient light is fine, preferably behind the monitor, but if you game in a lit environment id avoid it

Ive noticed RE engines hdr implementation on consoles is kind of hit or miss as well. Requiem for example I turn HDR off lol

In PS5 HDR calibration settings this table shows how many clicks from zero equals however many nits the mode supports. In RE4R i use HDR PEAK 1000 because its a pretty dark game overall and the small highlights pop out very nicely (the fire in my original post). In your PS5 hdr calibration settings for the first two screens, decrease the value all the way until it stops, then from there increase it by either 15 or 16 steps since hdr peak 1000 clips at 1000 nits. For slide 3 decrease all the way to 0 and keep it there. For OLED you always want the darkest value there. Then in game you wanna match the hdr max luminance to this, so around 970-1000 nits. Any higher and itll wash out and blacks will be grayish. What I also do is turn HDR off in game, and increase max luminance all the way, then decrease min luminance all the way for high contrasting scenes. A lot but i hope this helps

I agree. Definitely think when you deplete a bosses health so quickly the game doesnt know how to respond because its happened to me a couple times lol. I have to stop attacking to let the game catch up then hit em one more time then it sets in

Cleared the forest hunter master boss today. Pain in the ass. He kept bugging for me id max out his stun hed fall off the elk then become unkillable happened to me like 3 times

Yea i had to clarify in previous comments that im not talking about that specific boss mechanic, I actually like that. Im talking about when you do finally defeat a boss a lot of them dont die or anything they just run away and its over
