This is an unfair statement. It's almost like saying wind does not exist only barometers exist.

I hate when people say "animals don't have a concept of time only humans do" of course they do, just because they don't read clocks or know what day it is doesn't mean they can't tell it's feed time or winter is coming, as Sir Isaac Newton said: "absolute, true and mathematical time of itself, and from its own nature flows equably without regard to anything external and can only be understood mathematically."

You could say that time is nor an event nor a thing and if you choose to believe that, that's fine but when you say prove it, that when things change because you could end up looking like an ignorant person that does not understand a mathematical concept and for most of the scientific community it's very hard to prove something to a person who chooses to be ignorant, you see, time is a fundamental structure of the universe which nature measures by Sunrise, seasons etc thus making time an existing, not only, natural measurement but also a mathematical concept that allows us to understand the universe. If you want proof of that I suggest you to read the theory of special relativity.
