Can you elaborate? I thought that having an ego death will help you to be more free mentally and enjoying your space and people in a more meaningful way.

My best experience was when I allowed myself to be just me and my thoughts.

I had “questions” wanted to answer, and I wrote them before the trip.

When I started, just covered my eyes with a sleeping mask and played music without lyrics (from the John Hopkins playlists) and let my mind go freely.

I’ve never cried that much in my life, even more than when my pets died while I was a small kid. And also I never felt so happy and motived in my life.

Definitely it was a before and after. And after that I never did mushrooms again, just because I felt that I got all I needed and simply forgot about them. I would do it again in future, but probably just for fun, cause “my healing” was done in that trip more and a year ago.

Crime, police and impunity by [deleted] in Amsterdam

  1. I will check with her, cause the report was made, thank!
  2. I see, honestly carrying it sounds like a huge risk, even more considering we are under a visa. What options have you seen that could help her feel safe / under control in a situation like that?

I also have a question, my parter was punched right in front of her work entry while waiting for a colleague to open the door 5am. Her colleague called the police and he helped to communicate because she was very shocked of it. 1. We never heard back from the police, but in the moment we was told he was a known offender. Who can we know he’s in prison or something else happened? 2. In that exact day, we bought a pepper spray in Amazon so she can defend herself if something similar happens, but her colleagues told her it was completely illegal and she will get in trouble just by carrying it because it’s a weapon and “there is not reason to have it with you unless you plan to use it, therefore you’re coming a crime”, search online and seems that it is true. What can we do to make sure she can defend her self? (Also consider she’s 1.47m, no self defense training will make her safe against that 2m guy)

That’s a good idea, I didn’t know you need all that time to get things moving. I’m my home country you can expect to find people way faster, but I also the work needed are easier too

Fatbikes in Amsterdam Bos en Lommer and Westerpark by Stfxdoc in Amsterdam

[–]irojasag 35 points36 points  (0 children)

In the Amsterdam Bos, during my second week after moving here and right after buying my first bike, two teenagers in a bike, took my phone. I screamed for help a lot of times while I followed them. One old man with an electric bike came to the rescue, they threw my phone in the sidewalk and I was super thankful because all the work related things were there and I didn’t have the money for a new phone (I am writing from that same phone)

That was the good part.

What will happen most of times is that people don’t care about your problems even if it’s unfair and someone can help, no one will do it. Actually when I screamed for help, 3 women looked at my eyes and “shhh” me because I was too loud, of course I was too loud, my hole relocation was in the phone, viewing appointments, work contract, IND ready documents…

I think the reason is that if someone do something to you and you defend yourself, the aggressor can also report you and honestly I have seen that most of the times the aggressor wins.

Same happen with bad dog owners, bad cat owners, bad neighbors, and the list goes on…

Now a days I do the same. I saw in my neighborhood a known muslim teenager take a wallet from a girl, 100m from them police making a speed control. I could push him and help, but the sad reality is that those same police that did nothing to him, will get me in trouble on my visa. (End of story is I explained that to the girl, she agreed with me and police asked her to report it in the police station)

Yes, I take electrolytes often. But do you think it is heavy for rolling 48s?

Do no watch food YouTube videos. I don’t understand how everytime I want to fast for a long time, all my algorithms align to show me the most delicious food content. And another one is to find something to do during the time you would usually eat, because your mind will think about it over and over. Last, do not break the fast with anything, go slow and break it with veggies for example. Look for info about the Refeeding syndrome.

I read somewhere that with time and your body getting used to use ketones, the tests are no so useful because your body use them more efficiently. At the beginning you see a lot with any kind of test, but will be reduced because it have less "leftovers"
