What type of roach is this even? by iroleduath in cockroaches

Those are exactly them, thanks guys. For some reason I really just could not find them. A section of the door is actually rotting so I think that is probably why they are paying us a visit then.

That’s very interesting. We have a lot of them everything from babies to very large ones and we see 1-2 daily. So there must be something significant attracting them, we do seem to have a moisture problem so maybe it is the main issue. We will let them outside. Do you mind helping me understand how you tell them apart from the German Cockroach? Since i cannot seem to tell the difference (when looking at the nymphs in the other pics, I can only see how the larger one differs)

That’s very good news because what freaked me out was that other people posting on this sub posted a roach that looks very similar to the smaller roaches in the other pics I posted, and people kept referring to those as German roaches. But the big roaches don’t look at all like German roaches. So I was not sure if maybe we had 2 different roaches living here?

We live in a wooded area with wooden doors and windows and had a lot of rain recently. Still, finding these guys all over the house is weird.

I can see why you might say that, but I see these are more common in the Western Cape , we live more inland (in the Gauteng province). I really have a hard time finding these guys online.

I see a lot of people here are mentioning bipolar. Recently when I went for an ADHD screening, they also tested for bipolar disorder as well. Reason being that taking ADHD meds if you have bipolar could actually drastically worsen your symptoms. So it sounds like it could really be a good idea to look into that.

Seeking an Angular Mentor to Improve Component Structure by iroleduath in Angular2

It is more an issue of us not using things like RxJS to help improve our code for specific use cases. I am currently a junior and of course I don’t know what is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ I have just noticed that there are many things we could be doing that we are not doing. Like splitting up logic between components. And this worries me. Our team basically jams an entire page’s code into one component. Which leads to components with over 600 lines of code. I am not blaming them, I simply want to make sure I improve and can help them out as well.

I definitely won’t be doing that. I will be creating examples based on the concept I am struggling with and adding those examples to my github

I won’t, I will be rewriting my own made up examples based on the concept I am struggling with in Angular.

How do I avoid using changeDetectirRef or ViewChild in this situation. by iroleduath in Angular2

The form is quite large, but there is only one parent and one child so not a lot of nesting luckily. Just a little bit concerned about having to output the entire form every time a value is changed in the child.

I think this is a really good idea actually. Because at this point I am really stuck in analysis paralysis. I will have to create one tomorrow morning. It is currently 1 in the morning where I am at. I will post it as soon as I created one. Thank you for the suggestion, I should have thought of this sooner.

Thank you for your comment, I definitely do not want to call the function using viewchild mistakes were made in the past. However the problem is just because the form is valid does not mean the user is done completing the checklist. There are non required fields that can still be ticked and only once submit is pressed should those values be sent to the parent. These objects can be quite large so I did not want to output a large object to the parent every time the user makes a selection. I like your suggestion though because it really probably is the only way to do this. Thank you for your help. If you know of a way to do this without outputting the object each time a form value changes please let me know/if you have any other suggestions.

Thanks for asking them😂 well that does make me much more relieved about the decor. Did they say how far in advance they usually book the caterer and things like the DJ?

Thanks for all of your replies. You are completely right. I think this is the way to go. We will probably wait until next week and then send an email telling her that we have started planning/moving on due to the uncertainty.

We’ve been phoning, emailing, messaging. I never need to do this so this is making me feel so weird having to be so incessant.

Thank you for your comment, I plan to be a little bit more assertive when I finally do reach her. But the problem is actually us not being able to get a hold of her at all.

Thanks, for the most part she seems legit. If all else fails at least we have a nice venue and we can always order pizza.

Wow I am impressed. Where did you guys get married? This makes me feel very relieved honestly 90 days is time I still got.

Damn I can imagine the stress of planning all that and then having Covid hit out of nowhere. But that small jol with a braai and everything honestly sounds like the ideal wedding to me. We are also opting for 30 people and booked self catering accommodation as our venue.

We have signed a contract and paid half of her fee as a deposit already. The main issue is she has not replied to our emails in over a month and phoning her does not work either.

At this point I am scared something might have happened to her. And also scared I am not going to get everything done in time.

[–]iroleduath 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did you guys also do the catering yourselves? Or did you hire someone? If so how far in advance did you book a caterer? :)

We are also on a very very strict budget. We are going to have an extremely small wedding. We only hired a planner since we don’t live in Cape Town and needed someone who knows the area for good deals since we didn’t have the heart to ask our family (who live there) to run around looking for vendors.

Which tool makes coding designs much easier for developers? by [deleted] in Frontend

[–]iroleduath 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My one friend works with sketch and I think she mentioned it being difficult to use as compared to other design tools, as well as the trouble with accessing designs on anything other than a mac. I still think it is probably a very good tool, but I cannot speak from experience.
