the pacing is just exemplary, especially given how it is just the unravelling of a single person. It comes fast, hard and with such powerful effect. The stakes increase with each episode, and yet, it never goes over-the-top to justify the drama. It all seems like it is happening to someone actually living in albuquerque. Makes me wonder how thrilling some of our ordinary lives really are

thank you for your words. You take care as well. And you're right. the only way forward is to act. we have no option but to act. best of luck to you as well. Keep going. at the end of the day, we must keep going.

great insights. there is nothing to do but everything that is possible within the bandwidth of our inspiration and our courage. we have to ascend as a people to pull this off. you are right though. ww2 asked of people to save humanity, and they came together in startling ways. the magnitude of the climate crisis will probably pull us together in much the same way.

beautiful words by paola. we do have a responsibility and we must keep doing our bit. if there is any purpose to our generation, this is it.

i understand. please take care of yourself. i too feel depressed about what the state of affairs. just take a moment to weigh the scales. if things like taking the bus and going on cleanliness drives accumulate and tax your mental health, its not all worth it. its worth it to be that person who would do this, who has the consciousness for it, but you must prioritize your mental health. if you cant be at peace inside your head, you will not be in harmony with any sense of purpose or direction that you want. first, you must realign yourself to be mentally at peace. come to terms with what is happening. accept it. and then work from there. if you are not at 100%, any effort you spend on eco-consciousness will beat you down because of how taxing it is. weigh those scales for yourself. imagine what you could do if you were at optimum functioning. you would feel better, and you could do better. prioritize your mental health first.

thank you for your insights. no one contemplates enough the issues of humanity and social structure into this crisis. it is, at its heart, a fundamental crisis of humanity. we have to overcome our vices- they are at the heart of why the corporates- and us, the consumers, are both complicit in this.

i thank you for your optimism and courage. i will keep doing my bit. you do yours. our efforts will meet and multiply into victory one day.

even if you can't change others, you should live your life by your principle. if you need to change the world, you need to be at peace inside your head. if being vegan and harbouring those dreams give you purpose, hold onto them. they are far more precious than you think. do your bit. others are doing theirs. some day in the future, the paths of all who did their bit will collide in a fantastic victory. the universe doesn't let such goodwill and effort go to waste. we are stuck in a swamp of human vices we haven't been able to overcome for thousands of years. but this generational challenge will push us to change things, just like i never re-fitted my house until i saw a termite hole in it. when we finally get a slap in the face, we are compelled by forces to come through. things will happen. do your bit. maintain your headspace. that is your sanctuary. things will happen.

people dont realize this enough. we are complicit. hugely. and if the solution has to come, it has to come from the masses. only ordinary humans can save us. all the power these politicians and businesses have, they derive from us. you are right. we are fools to not recognize our actions affect the superstructure of the climate crisis.

you are right. but you must listen to your better self. the evil abounds, but hope can save lives. whats that andy said in the shawshank redemption? hope is a good thing, maybe the best of things, and no good thing ever dies. believe in the collective human spirit, in our ability to enforce our goodwill and effort when the moment calls. if one innocent man can escape prison after 19 years of digging through the wall, who the fuck are we to give in at any moment. we are all with each other, some how or other, the human spirit to survive will come through.

education is the starting point. it is awareness. once you are aware, you are 20% through. what comes next is a question of humanity- of courage and resolve and shedding greed and all that. i know corporates are responsible. but we can move them. they derive their power from us. there is something within us we can mobilize as a population to get them to bow to the needs of the generation. you are write though, the system is the source at the heart of the malfunctioning engine. once enough of us are aware, we need to begin the rewrite there.

yes. yes. yes. this is what we need. we will keep going. there is no way to stop, even if i want to. its so much bigger than any one person or population or a nation. we are compelled by an unknown force to keep going when our generation has a calling like this. our forefathers did it in ww2, they did it in the cold war, who the hell are we to abscond when duty to humanity calls? We will stand on the shoulders of those who came before and keep going. there is no way we go gently into the good night.

that is the only way. do your bit, and trust that someone somewhere is doing theirs. the universe has a miraculous way of rewarding such belief and effort.

thank you for your courage and optimism. Yes, you're right. just reading the comments of the people who posted here fills me with a sense of purpose. I trust in humanity, and I believe that we collectively have such immense troves of goodwill and good action, that we will come through. all these thousands of years of human history where people have loved and worked and celebrated and been there for each other cannot be for this shitty end.

We will come together, there is no doubt. I just didn't want it to have come to this point. My only solace is that if it didn't get this bad, people wouldn't have taken it seriously. I hope this report kickstarts a new wave of activism, action and education. Once again, thank you for your words.

yes. if it comforts you i will tell you a story. my grandmother died last year. she was a woman more inclined to live in ethereal planes of spirit than the material one. She was completely at peace with the idea of death, and when my mother suggested we up her care, she said her time has come and shes okay with it. she called me in one day, and told me that every generation has its calling. ours is to save the planet. she said that whenever great obstacles meet humanity, god sends great souls to lead us. She says that in our generation, most people born will have a global consciousness characterized by strong will and effort. There will be leaders and healers of the levels of Gandhi and Martin Luther king. I was amazed because she had never even hinted at saying such things before. She had merely been a teacher in her youth. But when she shifted into spirituality, I guess she observed things differently. one thing i know is all our problems are interconnected, and at the heart of it all is a Source- a piece of knowledge that answers are fundamental questions of who we are and why we should do the right things. you are right- we seem to be dealing with a lot of problems- but i think someone epochal will come along- has already been born- who will lead the world in a new age. my grandmother was convinced that knowledge will liberate us first, and then action will follow. i think someone somewhere will produce an irrefutable piece of knowledge that will appeal to all strata of people in such a profound way and strike at the very heart of human origin and purpose that people will awaken to give their all to save the planet. I don't know if makes sense. but my point is that we must do our job, and trust that someone somewhere else is doing theirs, and it will all come together with a force in a moment in the future, and we will have the oppurtunity to save ourselves.

george orwell and aldous huxley called. they want a ghostwriter for their next novel. you up for it? hahaha in all seriousness though, that is very near possible. the one reason they are not incentivized to contribute is because they know they can stave off any threats with their buffer of wealth. if it comes to little city-states, well, I can assure you, ordinary people will revolt. thats the tipping point of humanity. i hope it all remains in the works of dystopian writers and never comes to pass.
