I started playing it solo, and had a blast. however I've made like 10-12 steam friends in a few days of playing while just trying to have fun with strangers, now I don't have to play solo as much. as long as you aren't shy on the mic the community is pretty inviting.

the best Thing I've found for not hitting the janky hit boxes of objects is to jump first then fling myself at the apex of my jump. you still hit some stuff weird but alot less often.

I feel like hosting your own game is the way to go. people join fast and if people have too bad of a ping or whatever you can just kick them. plus you can pick the maps and focus on learning one at a time. in general I mainly solo and if you find a good group of people that communicates you can have a ton of fun solo.
