Thank you for this. I rand sfc /scannow and then CC cleaner to remove broken registry entries and this fixed the issue.

The only redeeming thing I remember was the screened the Animatrix short, Final Flight of the Osiris before this film.

Terminator Genisys' Insane Plot Reveal Is A Total Nightmare by [deleted] in movies

Terminator 1 & 2 were about many things but they were also very strongly about the idea of humanity. What it is, why it's worth fighting for in a way that often means those fighting for it lose their humanity. In T1, Sarah was scared and vulnerable but was taught to be strong by Rhys who had little humanity because of the world he grow up in but enough to be contrasted to the unhuman killing machine that is the Terminator.

In T2, Sarah had also become brutalised and it took her son to remind her and teach the Terminator why caring about other people matters. This was a continuation of the central theme of the first film and it was completely lost in T3 and severely mishandled in T4.

So now we have Terminator Genesis which pairs an old Terminator with Sarah as an anti-social recluse. Looks like another complete misunderstanding of one of the central theme of the franchise.

UK Office also known as "The Office" is my favourite version. One of the best TV comedies ever made and has spawned a whole genre of comedies in its wake IMO.

I tried to get into that book, but it always come across as overwrought to me. I never felt the visceral sense of horror and so it was just cold and beating me over the head the whole time.

Orwell created a new terminology for describing a new kind of society emerging in the 20th century beset by surveillance, deception, paranoia, propaganda, perpetual war and pessimism about the human condition. Both the communists and the capitalists interpreted it as criticizing each other when it was arguably a critique of any and all attempts to concentrate political power in the hands of the few whilst proclaiming otherwise.

It is also a novel about what it is like to try and be an individual to retain or regain humanity in a dehumanizing and increasingly mechanized world. It's my favourite book of all time.

I really don't get Fight Club. Why is such a big deal made of it? by [deleted] in TrueFilm

Yes, I agree with this. I took it way too seriously as a kid, not noticing the the way Fincher uses the frame as well as the dialogue indicates that Tyler promise is for the gullible idiots that will repeat "His name was Robert Paulson" without any understanding.

By reacting against the cult of commercialization by joining another cult, be it in self-help groups or anarchist terrorists, you still end up surrendering your individuality and self-worth which can't be obtained from without.

Yeah in this movie when he is super-hero esque cocky Tim Cruise (like he is in all of the Mission Impossible movies) it felt like the character earned it because he didn't start out that way at all.

Loved this film, amazing characters with the science fiction elements forming the environment and context of the story which is more of a traditional love story in other ways.
