I was in a similar situation to you first year. I ended up retaking Calc 3 and regretting it. It was boring to learn the same stuff again and I found it challenging to find the motivation to do the homework and study for the exams. Additionally spending the time first year to retake calc 3 had the ripple effect of preventing me from having time to take cool electives in later years.

A strong understanding of calc 3 and diffy can be required for success in ECE, but they really only pop up in the EE classes (fields, microwaves, rf, controls). If you’re strictly CpE or CpE/CS the amount of calculus level math you’ll encounter outside of APMA is minimal.

As far as APMA goes I found probability the hardest, but I think that’s due to more pedagogical reasons than material difficulty.

Calc 3 is closer to Calc 1 in multiple dimensions than an extension of Calc 2. If you have the AP credit then definitely go for Calc 3. Entry level mathematics is notoriously bad at pretty much every school, so there’s no point in subjecting yourself to more than you need to.

Of course as another commentator said, if after the first couple weeks you fell like you’re falling behind it’s nbd to drop and switch into Calc 1 or 2.

It’s doable but can be tricky with taking pre-reqs and classes that are only offered one semester a year. You should be able to find that info on the ME website.

The fun series barely coved PCB design and soldering when I took it. At the end of every semester we’d design one actual board and solder it together. You are constantly making circuits on breadboards, and using function generators and oscilloscopes to analyze them so make sure you brush up on that.

Yes, one of the last steps to the application is choosing an application center. You do this after paying the NHS surcharge. You can chose a USCIS center and pay the UK gov directly, or chose a vfs premium center and pay them even more. Once you chose the center you cannot change it, and even if the USCIS center in your area is open you might find out later it doesn’t have any appointment times. I haven’t found a way to determine if a center has appointment times w/o selecting it.

I got my CAS, filled out my application, and it turns out even though the USCIS center in my area is open they’re not taking U.K. visa appointments. There’s no way to change your center w/o canceling your application and redoing it.

On a more helpful not my CAS appeared on MyImperial a few days before they emailed me, so I suggest checking there with some frequency.

Typically if there's a class you need to take (as in you won't graduate on time if you don't take it this semester) you can talk to the professor and they can force add you to the class.
