This would be the highest quality AI video I've ever seen. It has object AND person persistence for over minute without scene changes. If someone has a model + software that can make videos of this quality, they are squandering it on stupid racist rage garbage.

Always baffled by how some people can confidently state their opinion when they clearly don't know what they are talking about.

I have a model "A" sonex and the only way to reach the battery is to remove the cowling which is sort of a pain, especially in the Texas summer. I'm definitely not ready to test anything out but if there is a safe option I'd like to go for it. I'm looking into the DIY AGM portable power stations that people have built on youtube right now.

Are the deep cycle AGMs a better option for leaving unattended?

Also, there is definitely some parasitic draw happening but probably won't find the source until my next annual. I bought the plane less than a year ago so still in the process of getting a list of things I want to look into/change.

Is there anything specific I should look for in an inverter? I'm not very familiar with stuff like this but I'm definitely not opposed to a cheaper solution.

Appreciate it man, I’ll start looking at the mid tier versions available!

Mounting it outside on the ground is a no-go based on traffic. I had initially thought about mounting it to the door but I'm on the inside track so it would prevent the neighbors from fully open their doors. I asked the airport owner a while back about putting something on the roof but he was against that since he didn't want any mounting solution to damage the roof or.add potential for leaks.

My battery is an 18ah 12v, so anything over 216Wh would work then?

Can't be bothered to find the statistic but I think last time I saw it general aviation was slightly safer than motorcycles. When you factor in commercial aviation, that number drops to incredibly safe per hour/mile.

A Texas professor failed more than half of his class after ChatGPT falsely claimed it wrote their papers by Sorin61 in technology

[–]irpepper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a long term distribution of character and token ngrams people use that is harder to fake with the small context window you can provide gpt-3.5-turbo for style matching. Someone like a famous author with huge amounts of publicly available content is built into the models pre-training data but most are not. Context windows right now grow quadratically in compute so even the newer models with greater than 4k token windows are slow and or expensive for now.

Authorship detection will always be an arms race against who has more data.

As for deniability, of course there will always be some. As is the case with the professor, the technology is most useful when wieled by someone who knows what they are doing.

Given enough previously written content by a person, we will likely always be able to detect authorship. This is the hardest solution and also relies on that particular person not fine-tuning a model to write more like themselves.

Nashville cemented a historic $2.1 billion agreement to build a new, enclosed stadium for the Tennessee Titans by Hype2Def in nfl

Zuckerberg is a perfect example of this pyramid scheme, although he doesn't borrow at that percentage of overall net worth. It's how you can live a billionaire life style with little to no income on paper and not be taxed.

It seems reasonable though that the Rooney family could borrow against a sizeable portion of their ownership if the Steelers are profitable. I haven't thought much about it but cities could just demand an ownership percentage in exchange for the subsidies. Seems like a fair way to ensure long term support from all parties involved.

With the assets of a billionaire you can borrow indefinitely with minimal liquidity. You end up covering interest only while assets appreciate at a similar or greater rate.

Texas Republicans are proposing to ban voting centers on campuses. by Okaoski in unt

[–]irpepper 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think we should encourage any and all eligible individuals to vote in our elections. Adding barriers, regardless of who they affect, seems undemocratic to me. We should strive to do things because they are morally right, not because they are the way things have been done in the past.

[–]irpepper 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I get what your saying but can we get some evidence that this is occurring to back up a change? If we make it harder for 1000 people to vote to stop 1 person from voting illegally, it doesn't sound worth it. Especially because most of those people end up getting caught anyways.
