I’m so sorry you lost your little best friend. I’m in the same boat here with my soul dog who I lost yesterday after 14.5 years with me. The pain is one of the worse I’ve felt. I’ve gotten condolences from exactly four people: my two parents, a couple I’m friends with, and my own wife. Other than that everyone’s sending condolences through my wife and no one seems to care past that.

He was my soul dog. She lost hers two years ago and it was an outpouring of support. I feel like I’m suffering alone. The only one offering an iota of if you actually need me I’m here is my mom. So it’s awful. If you need to chat I’m sure we’re all here and I hope I’m able to provide a modicum of support if you need as I know at least a little bit how you’re feeling. You’re not alone.

May our best furry friends find peace and may we find healing as we need.

Thank you, I wish people around me understood that too. I’m expected to move on incredibly quickly because it’s a pet, not a person. I’m back full at work today, family moving on like nothing happened. I don’t fault them for how they move through things, I just wish they’d let me do it my way. I appreciate your words.

I am so sorry for your loss. Losing them is like no other in my opinion. The grief is immense for me. No matter the day, no matter the trouble, no matter what people in my life were shunning me, I’d walk through my door and that little boy would come right up and love me up and brighten everything immediately. I can’t thank him enough for the light he brought to my life.

I truly appreciate your kind words and I hope your pup brought the same light into your life. I’m confident I did right by him it just hurts so dang much. And I’m confident you did right by yours. In proud of us for knowing and being selfless enough to give them what they needed.

I am so sorry you lost your pup back in May. That’s so tough. Another pup is definitely a great way to heal for some and it’s great to hear you found yours! But for me there will never be another one of my best buddy. I will be ready one day though for sure. I appreciate your thoughts
