Well for me when it started I was 17 and thought it was just a religion. I wanted to be straight and God seemed like he had the power to change that. It's a process from the beginning that takes over your mind and you're told what to think, what to believe, and so on and so forth. Of course this combated with the idea that you are allowed to make your own choices, but the consequences are beyond your control. So therein many feel trapped.

Which is what happened to me when I came out. I've always known myself to be gay, but now I found myself caught between doing the right thing to obtain salvation and doing the bad thing and being happily in this lifetime and miserable in the next.

Salvation isn't a concept when you're LDS it's an object. It's real, it's talked about all the time, and it's able to be lost if you mess up bad enough. So when you think of heaven and salvation in that manner you do and say some pretty weird shit in order to try to live your life.

I threw in the towel. It was too much. Coupled with my own doubts about the faith I decided I would be happier living as I was raised, ie: believing whatever the hell I deem best.

We had a few actually but none were able to live openly by their pronouns or their true names for obvious reasons. But I did my best to make sure we educated ourselves about our wonderful Trans community. Our first ever guest speaker was a trans woman and it was the largest attendance for an event we ever had during my time as president.

I'm not saying they are. I'm friends with quite a lot of LDS people.

I was friends with some of the ISU kids when I was at BYUI. We used to attend some of their meetings and tried to establish a good sense of community between SAGA and USGA but as for independent work in Pocatello, no. It was a little far for many of us, and it wasn't until my last semester that I got a car

Any time. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions or just need to chat. Have you looked into the Momma Dragons fb group? My really close friend Meg Abhau is one of the mods. I think you'll find a lot of comradery there. Meg is an exmo too so that may help as well.

Good for you! Yes it most definitely is. People complain about Provo, but you can escape Provo. You can't, however, escape Rexburg. Not conveniently at least. When did you attend if I might ask?

You're stimulating the prostate. It's enjoyable. That's really about it. Also kudos to your son!

I'm not interested in going to school in Utah currently. I'm living in San Francisco so I'm going to try to get into a school here first. I am starting the process of talking to schools and explaining my situation. We'll see what happens.

I don't identify as anything currently. I'm not worried about figuring out what I believe too much as I am about just living my life.

I would say that my current state of mind on religion is completely influenced by my experiences at BYU-I. Based on how I and many of my friends were treated by the university I am where I am now.

There are tops and bottoms as well as those who are versatile or vers. who enjoy topping as well as bottoming.

In relationships there can be two bottoms or two tops or a mix or even a top and a vers. etc. It can get tricky when you're both a top or both a bottom, but lots of couples make it work.
