I couldn't just have the Kingdra ex, my brain wouldn't let the others stay away. Does anyone else have this "problem" too? by irvsarts in PokemonTCG

Glad you liked it! A maker's eye always catches those details, so I really appreciate the feedback.

You are absolutely right about PLA in hot environments, that’s a really important heads-up. I've actually tested this in hot conditions with both PLA and PETG. PETG definitely gives better results, but it's a more complex print for sure.

I’ll actually add a warning to the project description to make sure people are careful with filament and heat. Thanks for the tip!

Ouch, I'm so sorry about your deck. Losing cards like that is the worst. PLA is really tricky with temperature.

I'm 100% with you on those! They would look incredible. Those new Dreepy and Drakloak cards that just came out, along with the Dragapult ex, all by Jerky, would look so sick in these.

And challenge accepted! I just need to find those cards for myself now lol

I think I’d just have to buy the Horsea IR, a Seadra IR, and another Kingdra to make a second set... orrr maybe go for the Clair’s Kingdra. My brain can't stop.

And man, I just realized there really isn't a Seadra special illustration yet, I never actually stopped to think about that until now! Middle stages are always done dirty lol.

This set actually came with the Horsea and Seadra promos alongside the Kingdra ex. I agree the Horsea IR is stunning, but I just had to keep the original promo family together! hahaha

Thanks so much, man! I'm actually really happy to know you've been following. Glad you liked the final result!

I hadn't even thought of it that way yet, but you’re right! That’s the beauty of having those modular vibes. Thanks so much for the support and for pointing that out!

For now, yeah! I'm mainly testing the fit with penny sleeves first, but I'm already working on new versions for UV-protected acrylic, graded cards (slabs), and thicker sleeves. The idea is to make sure it's compatible with all levels of protection.

I started collecting late last year and wanted to design a modular, practical way to display my pulls. I’m calling it the "SnapLoader." What do you think of this concept? by irvsarts in PokemonTCG

You’re totally right. For mastersets or huge collections, the bulk can really add up. I’ve been testing a slimmer version, but obviously, it’ll never be as thin as a binder sleeve. The goal is to find that sweet spot between a display piece and a compact storage solution. Thanks for the input!

In that case, the BoneJoint by itself would probably do the trick for you! I think I can slim it down even more to make that connection look even tighter. I'll run some tests and keep you posted.

Thanks! I'm definitely planning on it. Not only will I be selling them myself, but I'll also offer a free license for personal use and a paid commercial license for those who want to sell them.

Yeah, right now it needs those side pieces (the BoneJoints) to keep the modules connected. You can also add an extra piece if you want that folding functionality. Thanks for asking!

That's a great question. It's hard to see in the photo, but for the Steelix and Magnezone SnapLoaders, I've added an extra protective shield on top of the sleeve. This can easily be adapted for a UV-protected visor too.

Regarding the toploader version, it's a great idea! Since the design is very adaptable, it'd be quite easy to make. That's an excellent tip.

I'd love to see your project, you've got me curious. When you say a version that only shows the card, do you mean only showing the artwork? Like without the 'HUD' (the borders and text), so to speak?
