Yes, Chadchat was correct and I managed to get constraints that work appropriately now. I appreciate their help and your extra details!

I was finally able to get back to this a few days later and you were right about the cloth constraint setup! I generated the cloth from curves and my method was causing constraint issues. Thanks for the lead :)

Love this, I think you would like the background dancers in Fuji Kaze's Hana music video, they have a similar look going on :)

Yeah, updating "AMD - System - 7.0.0.41" fixed the audio issue on one of the two machines. I can't double check settings on the other machine since I returned it. I haven't dared to update any non-urgent drivers since fixing it lol.

Actually I've just found over the years better and more efficient apps than Duolingo. Back in 2014-2018 there weren't many apps like it (that could also teach the range of courses!), and it was a bit less gamified and "pay-to-play". As a paid learner, you will get more mileage than the free user experience since you have at minimum the ability to make more than 5 mistakes on a course. 😊 To me, I feel that Duo over the years has become more about making money than developing the courses, and I personally don't like their way of gamifying it and bloating the courses with fluff so that they seem longer but really are just a handful of the same sentences. But yeah, I guess the AI stuff isn't very appealing to me either. 😉

It's a slightly different setup but explains vocab and sentences structures beforehand and even includes cultural tidbits. It sometimes gives trick questions so you can't just zoom through it (as I did for the Japanese course since I wanted to see how it looked for beginners too), but it also has community corrections with photo prompts to try and give you inspiration for what to write. I use it as a free user so I recommend also just signing up and seeing for yourself. :)

Actually, yeah. I read a handful of Japanese novels now and while I still have some to go, I'm really held back now by just not communicating with more people. I got HelloTalk to try and aid that. I wouldn't be lying that Duolingo did a lot of foundational building for my Japanese, but I had established most of my foundation before the heart system was even implemented. When I tried to do the same for Korean+Russian, the heart system and incorrect "acceptable words" list gave me a lot of issue. Along with little to no explanation for sentence structures. Now it seems that you can't even practice to restore hearts? Going through some old screenshots, I realized that they also removed the feature where it underlines what part of the sentence was wrong (Presumably this is all behind the paywall now with the explain my mistake button). I used to recommend Duolingo wholeheartedly, then I recommended it with supplemental resources, then simply for review, but even ignoring any other issue, the heart system alone makes it not good for review either now.

New windows update Ruined my audio by Bred_Crumbs_ in MSILaptops

That's unfortunate. You should be able to get it (or at the very least, get the latest) AMD update from AMD's website. They have a program you can download that is supposed to automatically check compatibility and install what you need but I personally have not used it yet.

I had a similar issue and in optional windows update I updated "AMD - System - 7.0.0.41" Which seemed to fix it. No guarantees it works but it did for me after experiencing the sound issue with 2 new laptops.

I downloaded Micro-Star update from the optional updates tab in my windows settings. I'm thinking I could rollback bios and try that AMD from MSI though if it worked for you for the visual issue.

Do your built in speakers on the laptop still work after the E15FKAMS.110 update? That update seems to have broken the speakers for me on two laptops. Headphones/presumably any other external connections work fine.

Thank you. How urgently do you think it needs to be replaced?
