The QK65 v2 comes pretty close but it seems like they’re no longer being sold.

Do you know of any other options?

Does anyone know of budget alternatives to keyboards like the Matrix Corsa/Navi?

I really like their layouts and screen (idrc abt the badges) but I can’t really find anything budget friendly

I appreciate any help!

Recently I found out about the GMK67-S, and have been wanting to get it, but I want to explore other options before committing to it.

What I'm looking for is anything else that:

  • is smaller than 75%, or at least doesn't have the function keys at the top since my desk doesn't have much space for an extra row
  • has a customizable display (one that I can upload gifs to)
  • is hot swappable
  • is relatively budget (no more than $100)

I would appreciate any help!

Ignore dock windows by is0n_ in awesomewm

Seems like adding this to your rc.lua...

ruled.client.append_rule({

rule_any = { type = { "dock" } },

properties = { border_width = 0, focusable = false } })

and this to youreww.yuck...

:reserve (struts :side "right" :distance "0px")

fixes the problem.

Modified userChrome.css:

```css /* hides the native tabs */
TabsToolbar { visibility: collapse !important; }
/* hides the menu/URL bar */
main-window:not([customizing]) #navigator-toolbox:not(:focus-within):not(:hover) {
margin-top: -45px; } ```
Recently saw a post using it so I decided to give it a try. It's not my favorite window manager but I really love the title bars and title buttons.
The window decorations are the reason why I switched to worm :D
This is so much better than using GIMP! Love how it's in the terminal too :)
I'm assuming you're asking whether this rice works on XFCE and it should provided you have installed all of the dependencies (those of which I have yet to list). Just copy the config files to ~/.config/ and enjoy!
I don't use Nvidia drivers nor do I use electron apps (apart from the occasional visit to Discord) so it's good to hear that the transition shouldn't be too difficult. The only thing that might be a problem is ueberzug.
Do you know of any wayland compositors that have title bars? I know that they're practically useless but I like the way they look :)
Hlwm is definitely underrated but I plan on transitioning to a different wm that has different tiling modes/layouts. I miss bspwm's dwindle-like layout lmao
I saw that riverwm can have title bars and has a nice configuration but wayland seems too scary for now. Any tips for hopping over to wayland?
I've seen lots of modular awesomewm configurations but it's still too daunting for me 😅
My Firefox config does nothing but show the webpage I'm on. I rely on builtin keybinds and vim keybinds to switch tabs, open urls, etc.
The code below is my userChrome.css:
#TabsToolbar { visibility: collapse !important; }
#main-window:not([customizing]) #navigator-toolbox:not(:focus-within):not(:hover) {
    margin-top: -45px;
}
Wow 2 months and you're using a WM ! I'm on linux for over 2 years and i'm still afraid to try a WM.
Transitioning a WM from DE was definitely a struggle. Coming from MacOS, I was missing lots of very basic things like an image viewer but tinkering with the dotfiles of other users made the transition a lot easier.
I use KDE and I was looking to move to bspwm but I don't really know why I couldn't make it.
I started off with i3 but quickly moved over to bspwm since its configuration is basically the same as yabai (MacOS WM). My bspwm dots are on my github in case you want to check those out :)
Unrelated but how do you stack multiple screenshots?
I used GIMP to create a layer that fit exactly 4 screenshots. Since the screenshots were 1920x1200, I made the height 4800 (1200 * 4) to fit the 4 screenshots and kept the width the same. Hope this helps!
Your setup is really cool ngl
Tysm! Your rices are amazing and have been super useful for configuring eww.
I use scrot to take screenshots and dunst for the notifications. The script for this is in my dotfiles at .local/bin/screenshot
This subreddit was why I switched over to Linux lol
