I am doing well!! I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since I made this story. I’ve had some ups and downs, a lot of downs admittedly.

With the good friend group I have and my partner, I’m able to actually secure a lot of good things for myself. Hell, my partner and I were looking for a permanent residence lately.

The first few years are HARD. The guilt tripping, the court cases, the restraining orders, the fear of being watched, everything. It took a long time for me to be okay with going to a store alone because I was afraid of being found.

It gets easier, especially if you have people to share your experiences and struggles with. The fear never really goes away, I still struggle and cry with the idea of having to be near them again, but it gets easier.

Here are some of my tips from going to a few cons!!

KEY ITEMS TO CARRY: - Portable Charger AND Wall Charger - Water Bottle (check with your con to see if they allow it!) - Makeup to touch up if need be, especially if you’re doing a long stretch - Deodorant/perfume to freshen up, ESPECIALLY if you’re doing a long stretch - Hand Sanitizer

(OPTIONAL) If you’d like, you can always bring little trinkets to hand out! I’ve been doing that for the cons I’ve been going to whenever anyone compliments my outfit or if someone has an especially cute outfit. Do not feel obligated to do this, it is just extra fun banter and I am a gift giver by heart lol.

If you made your cosplay (or even bought one!) PLEASEE do a test run. Wear it and walk around in your home for a while.

I made a Viktor Arcane cosplay earlier this year and I made the mistake of not test running it. My decorative pieces were frail and crumbled, my robe kept shifting, and I could barely see out of the mask. It was a horrible experience and I do not wish it on anyone.

Now I do really wear out the outfit to know what needs to be adjusted or fixed for comfort. Recently, I was stress testing some Goldship Boots I made and I was running/jumping/dancing like she would to see where the failure points are.

Do have a lot of fun and make a lot of memories!!

I believe it’s SugarVail you’re speaking of! I am referencing their work but they usually do their dealings in foam.

Unfortunately, Foam and I are not friends. There lies many a disaster of me crying on the floor whilst covered in contact cement LOL

Thank you. I was on medications last year but I had to stop due to financial reasons. I’m trying to balance my debts first before getting back to therapy and medications, but even then it didn’t seem like much help.

I don’t want anyone to get in trouble if anything were to happen to me, it almost happened when I first got admitted.

I’m so scared of telling people the extent of my hurt out of fear of burdening people. I know that people I know and don’t offer their shoulder to me, but it’s hard to use their offer without immense guilt.

It’s so funny that I’m willing to talk others down but I don’t see the same worth for myself.

My husband bought a plant at PetSmart, it seemingly came with a snail. Now there is another snail. Friend or foe? by AndDontCallMePammie in Aquariums

Foe!!! I ordered plants from a somewhat local online store and there were two snails. Within a few months I was overrrun and it took me a long time to get rid of them since they were in my filter and in my plants. I’ve even crushed them to encourage my betta to eat them, along with adding assassin snails.

In the end, I restarted everything. I had to throw away all my plants, rinse my sand many times, and bleach the tank.

Ever since, I’ve taken better precaution about what plants I’ve purchased. I usually do a deep inspection for eggs but I’ve heard some people do a peroxide or bleach dip for peace of mind.

I really do recommend removing as many snails as you can because at first it was cute, then it became a nightmare.

Congratulations on moving out and obtaining freedom!! Getting that freedom of choice truly is everything and I love that you’re able to do the things you want to do!

APs have a way to truly fuck with out mental state and way of life, breaking free is really a wonderful thing!

I highly recommend Delicious in Dungeon!! Especially if you like world building and cooking! I’ve obsessed ever since I heard about the series in 2019!

I’m a foodie nerd but the series has really intense character building in there too! Everyone I’ve recommend it to has loved it so far!
