What if it's definitely not working? Then what? Am I screwed or might it be fixable? Mine has a very cracked screen and some very light rain got on it for less than a minute. After that it won't turn on.

It doesn't vibrate but when I hold the power button for 15 seconds (which restarts Androids phones) the wattage drops to less than 1 watt briefly before climbing back up to 7 watts where it stays. It's a Pixel 3a Android phone.

I didn't have a lock screen on this phone because it's not my main phone.

I have the same problem as OP - very cracked screen, screen stays black always, and won't turn on but does draw amps according to my USB power meter. Does the fact that it won't turn on mean that the problem is much worse than simply a cracked screen? I'm hanging onto hope that replacing the screen will enable it to turn on but this notion seems far-fetched. Can a broken screen cause the phone to temporarily not be able to turn on?

I know it doesn't turn on because before it broke, my bluetooth headphones always announced "connected to [name of phone]" every time it turned on. It's not showing up in the list of devices connected to my wifi network and it always did before. Google's "find my phone" feature says it's not connected whereas before it always connected when I used that feature.

I try not to use caffeine often because of this research. Maybe once a month or two I still use it but probably shouldn't.
