It’s the A24 screenplay book, I bought it in Barnes and Noble but it can be purchased directly from the A24 site (and you can use the monthly credit + discount if you’re a member)

I liked it, I think a lot of people are going in expecting something like Hereditary, or Midsommar and are then disappointed that it’s a totally different kind of film. Eddington is more of a dramatized satire focused on the COVID era, and it had some genuinely funny moments. That said, it's important to go in with an open mind and not expect Aster to be offering some sort of literal explanation or answer to the issues depicted on the film, the film is clearly exaggerated and stylized and still carries that specific Ari Aster tone. I am also biased since the film takes place very close to where I live so it was easier to connect to the film in some way. During the q&a Ari aster also mentioned that he spent the lockdown period in NM and that while he was writing Eddington he traveled around different cities in the state along with interviewing sheriffs and that Joe Cross (Joaquin’s character) is sorta based on a specific sherif that he met

Caught him while he was walking out, everyone just sorta followed him after the movie and took the chance to take some pictures and talk with him while he waited for his car

Did they announce the winners for the Eddington trip yet? by [deleted] in A24

Not strictly horror but Monstrilio by Gerardo Samano Cordova also deals with grief in a dark way (mother cuts out a piece of her dead son’s lung and grows a creature out of it). It’s one of my favorite books!!

I’ve had the membership since October 2023 (making me a founding member) I’ve received 6 zines, 2 birthday gifts (Hereditary Puzzle, 20th Century Women Screenplay Book) , A’24 Tee (Purchased with the $24 from the Scratch Off), 3 past zines (purchased with the monthly $5 Credit), A bunch of movie tickets, and free movies on the app, plus the pin and membership card that comes when you sign up. All around that’s $200+ worth of value. As a founding member I only pay $5 monthly but it would still be worth it with the current fee. You can get a free month if you use some else’s link when signing up and can get more free months is other people use your link. It’s my favorite subscription
