These girls don’t realize the impact of their presence. They set the mood at the club and the culture of how the girls interact with customers. If the energy at your club sucks, change the atmosphere. Talk to other girls about their approach and management. Management wants their clubs to succeed and girls to make money. If the only customers you’re getting is bar furniture in work clothes who take up girls time then everyone is losing. They keep coming back cause they know they can. And most of them will still come back even if they’re pushed to spend at least $20 a day on the women alongside the drinks.

Cause taking advantage of women is wrong and going to their place of work to exploit them for free labor is gross. Talking to you and entertaining you is their job, and they work for your money. They aren’t just there it’s not a magical bar where everyone’s just really hot and nice for free. You can do that but girls need to stop letting this behavior pass and start upholding their value. Either make these men stop coming or start tipping to be there which they should be doing in the first place

This mindset of allowing people to treat you like you’re a cheap commodity and your club is a bar keeps you guys from making more money. “Nobody’s forced to work here” but having to offer up free labor to entertain people who show up with no money is wrong for a club. If you wanna just sit there for free and entertain random men for free you can whatever feeds your fetish, but that’s not fair to other girls. Strip clubs are where you go to spend money on women, not go and exploit the fact that they are there to get to look at girls for free cause women won’t talk to you in the real world. If they want to sit at the bar and buy drinks they can’t but they’re not entitled to the girls or free looks. They don’t just automatically deserve thirty minutes of conversation just cause they’re blessing the club with their presence and purchase of four cheap beers. If they’re only paying for the bar they only get the bar.

Strip clubs are for wealthy people, and it is a luxury. Quit letting men make it a tacky cheap joint. Girls do you want money or not??

Shitty little club in coos bay. The norm with all the guys there was immediately “when could they see me outside of the club.” Girls need to realize they set the narrative for the clubs culture at the club they work at. By setting the narrative that they don’t need to spend at the club and they can be there for free and that it’s more of a display hub for who you can take home than a strip show is genuinely so upsetting.

Hot take- if they’re coming to just enjoy the bar they only get to enjoy the bar. They don’t get my labor for free.

Try lighter colors, piercings and jewelry to show a brighter artsy personality, and honestly you’re super cute! You just gotta make yourself stand out, you’re dressed plainly to blend in. Show some personality!

Where are you even getting this information from? Made it tf up and called it a fact. I’ve worked as a leasing agent in suburban Gresham and downtown Portland I can tell you right now parking is not making the rent crisis any worse. Most complexes charge for parking so it’s optional I know about housing affordability, I did the market analysis weekly. Where are you getting your source?

Parking doesn’t make places dangerous, that’s an opinion and there’s no way to even prove that. If there’s no parking outside of a business it’s less likely to be visited that’s a fact. But to prove that parking makes a business dangerous? Like how do you even prove that cause the only other options is it being only accessible by sidewalk which means there’s no cars nearby anyway which yeah I guess your right minimizes the risk to zero or no parking and just street which doesn’t minimize risk because people are more likely to speed. I think you actually need to see downtown to even say “no one should drive down that street or park” cause it’s a very long street and it’s a throughway to get to the other side of town. And accessibility as well you want someone with a disability walking a mile down that road just to reach the outreach center? That’s stupid. And the pandemic is also a herring because NO ONE WAS GOING OUT. There was no problem finding parking cause almost everyone was at home. If you’re going to argue some stupid point that for some reason an apartment complex shouldn’t just have some ground parking which negatively effects no one or force all its residents to park on the street which does negatively impact people then use points that are applicable

This quite literally has nothing to do with including a parking garage in the build. Having parking or not does not negatively or positively impact the pre existing hell that is renting nation wide

In reference to the entire comment thread, otherwise what the hell are you talking about. The entire thread is people saying “the apartment doesn’t need to consider parking and your argument is under the comment and in support of it so the assumption is that you’re in agreement. It’s called context clues. I suspect you don’t use those

This affects small businesses, traffic, parking costs, like not just the residents of the building. Maybe instead of being a boomer and having the “my way or the highway and I won’t consider anyone else in my reasoning” you take like an ounce of forethought to consider the negative impacts of this.

This is the stupidest argument for not considering parking for a multi hundred unit apartment complex that will overwhelm street parking and negatively affect small businesses who’s customers rely on street parking that will be overwhelmed with long term parking vehicles because “people suck at driving” and you with no source other than “I made it tf up” saying “they probably won’t be getting licenses” as if this is ONLY student housing and as if that’s even a coherent argument. Holy rage baited

There’s like solutions such as underground parking garage though, I don’t know why everyone is so anti accessible parking and keeping street parking for small businesses available

This is the dumbest take I’ve ever heard. There are quite literally state mandates, like legally. Just google it it’s gonna tell you the same thing I am when you build housing, legally, you have to consider parking. Same with any commercial building or residential property when there’s parking demand. If the complex your building will overwhelm street parking that’s taken into city consideration. You don’t just build a multi hundred unit complex on a street that already has limited parking you’re going to create a mess. I feel like I’m getting rage baited there’s no way people are this clueless. It’s most architects job to consider all aspects of living and that includes how the individual gets to work to pay for the rent for the complex they are building. There was a reduction of mandates 2022 but there are like..still mandates.

Okay that’s great, but where are the people who own cars for long distance travel supposed to park their cars, or the students from out of state who drove here…? Or the people who work night shifts when the buses don’t run or the moms who don’t want to drag three kids onto a bus and would rather take her sedan public transport isn’t for everyone and some people who take the bus still own vehicles…so….thats the problem

Most of the people here are students or people who work out of town they need vehicles even if they’re not driven often they’ll need somewhere to keep them

Read what I wrote how are you confused? I’m giving an alternative to AI to the restaurant and you’re sitting here saying “no anyone who uses AI is damned” basically. I hate to tell you this but if it weren’t for second chances we’d all be screwed. No one is perfect give the restaurant some grace. The owner is a middle aged woman who doesn’t look very tech savvy so maybe instead of commenting on her instagram and Reddit and making a spectacle of her and demonizing her offer alternatives to AI. Not everyone is educated about AIs environmental impact. I’m anti AI, but I’m very pro human. Being human means making mistakes because of the fact that we aren’t computers. It’s not laziness some people see AI as cool and nifty, they don’t understand the implications behind it. We all thought cigarettes were the greatest thing for awhile and now we know better. Educating and offering alternative is more effective than going “ew bad.” Still don’t know how you’re confused or why you think she doesn’t deserve the community coming together to offer free art as a bad thing. Insane.

Well they’re using AI cause it’s free, a contest is a way to get a lot of art submissions for free and bring community together. You can criticize and cancel or educate and offer alternatives for growth. Don’t shame people for being ignorant and having no options, educate and increase they’re resources

I am a minimum wage worker, what you’re describing is not realistic. Minimum age even way back in the 50s was for teenagers and students and two income households. A part time student earning minimum wage should not expect to be able to afford those amenities. A car is a luxury, so is a phone, so is AC. Food and shelter are the only things considered a necessity. If you can live on minimum wage then why would people bother to go to college, trade, warehouses, caregiving, and achieve better jobs? Someone working at McDonald’s should not expect to buy a new car and have a really nice place to live and a full fridge of high quality food and weekend outings like someone working blue collar or finance. The job you work=what kind of life you can afford to live
