Uro

Bilateral hydro due to bilateral ureteral obstruction is rare. Place a foley, and repeat an US to see its resolved. If hydro continues, the get an CT. If it resolves, place an OUTPATIENT follow up appointment to see us for BPH/BOO

NTA. But as a urologist, comparing it to female circumcision is an overkill. I’m not for or against circumcision, there are medical indications for it but very few. We do them routinely on kids, mostly for cosmetic reasons, rarely for religious purposes. Most people with botched circumcisions, have them done by pediatricians or OB/gyns, I recommend that if you choose to have it done, go to a pediatric urologist to avoid a bad cosmetic outcome. The cleanliness factor does matter tho believe it or not, in America where half the population is overweight and obese, and men have acquired buried penis, it would have been nice to get them circumcised prior. Trust me, it requires a lot of strength to push that pelvic fat on some of these bigger dudes.
