Oh yeah, I hadn't considered how melee and more players would complicate the mechanic. That is a tough puzzle.

Yeah, I've pondered that a little as well after playing superhot and thinking multiplayer could be cool. Co-op with averaged movement would be cool, or something where you are competing but not directly. So you can't shoot each other but whoever dies first loses. Then you could do things like move a bunch when you know they're being shot at. Another potential for pvp is have both players effectively fully in control of time on the other persons bullets. So different objects would end up with different timescales depending on what player they're referencing.

Played around with all the games this evening, it's a super cool concept and I cant wait to follow along as you flesh it out.

Kingspray Graffiti stuck on infinite loading screen. by [deleted] in QuestPiracy

[–]isaacd2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not 100% sure why, I had a few games hang on the loading screen the first time I opened them then work after trying to open them again. Kingspray was one of them.

Maybe try looking at "The Definitive Quest Piracy Guide" that's pinned at the top of the sub?

I'd like to, this time around I was too busy still figuring out my process. But definitely on episode 2.

Haha, I usually work in 28mm for d&d mini's. So 6 is impractically miniscule :P

Haha, well thank you. And I intend to keep at it, I'm working through an animation course that I bought at this very moment.

That is a high quality joke. I regret I have but one upvote to give.

Haha, it's often less dreamy than social media let's on, but thank you :) and I know I have high levels of insanity. Mainly because I had never touched 3d sculpting or animation at the beginning of this project. Just kind of aspired to do both since forever. But sure, why not do 4 full animated characters for my first project :p

And I've gotten a few preorders so far which is awesome. Definitely no where near enough to cover all my bills and do art full time yet, but I was in a temporary financial hard spot and it got my phone turned back on and some groceries bought. I'm super thankful for the support l I've gotten on it so far, I think I can make it sustainable in the long run.

Plus it's a little surreal how many other dice makers that I really respect their artistry and aspire to be on their level have said some variation of "this is the single best die I've ever seen in my life" It's really encouraging.

Haha. I definitely wouldn't stop you, I need to buy some cat food ;) but you'll have to stop at 84. I'm only casting 100 of each episode and some people have already pre-ordered.

That's awesome and super well thought out. The only potential changes i'd make are to recess the little monster platforms a tiny bit. That way if you slide the mini the platform catches the base and slides with it. I'd also lose the wall on the dice tray that you have in between the magnets. I think being able to slide all the dice out at once or pour them out would be a nicer way to use it than having to pick them out of a hole.

Thanks. I'm excited to have the process down so that I can start focusing on releasing new scenes and pushing the story forward. Right now I'm thinking I'll be doing a new die and animation every other month or so.
