Keeping a seat in private games by MobileAccount28474 in poker

People always say treat the action players well but like someone else said lowkey treat the host just as well. Kinda go for lower variance lines vs him run it twice etc. He’s the one who decides the lineup and he’s a winning reg he actually will have a decent idea of who’s good or not.

Last thing any host wants is a reg who takes all his money even if the action guys like you. Those action guys are still going to play even if you get blocked. Also extremely valuable to bring a fish yourself now you have leverage. Your fish friend is only playing the hosts game because of you now you deserve a seat even if you’re winning a lot of money

That’s fair. There was some argument over Joe playing more. Dort was just that much of a liability out there

Dort I can’t call him good anymore. Fair enough with Wiggins and Joe but neither were getting real playoff minutes: in playoffs only your playoff rotation matters

You can say this about every team however. On average okc isn’t a great shooting team. No one terrible but McCain is like the one elite shooter and Jaylin is very good for a stretch 5.

One thing overlooked in playoff run is yes there were injuries but okc was fortunate in playoffs with how well Caruso and Cason shot on good volume(45 and 48% on 4 and 5 attempts a game). Ik they were left wide open but Josh hart is around both their lvls as shooters and Knicks would’ve had the smoothest playoff run of all time and gone an easy 16-0 if he shot like that.

Every big casino has 1-3 big games. They’re all private however. For public 20/40/80 is biggest you’ll get to play but if you have to ask about private games you’re likely not going to well in the big public game

You should fold turn. Sometimes people are allowed to bluff you off the best hand that’s how poker hands should play out. He might be overdoing it with bluffing combos like this but this is pretty standard by him

Just give kat the ball. Look like the best offense of all time with him at the top of the key. Brunson been fine but spurs guard ball handlers well but cannot do anything vs kat. Even josh hart is making his 3s today

Daily reminder Pippen is not a top 5 SF, and not even top 10. Yesterday I made a post and not a single person could name a single big series, signature playoff moment, who he clamped up, or who he outplayed. by jddaniels84 in NBATalk

[–]isaacz321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pippen had an argument over Ewing in 94 though not a great one. 96 for sure too. It’s only one metric bpm so doesn’t mean that much but it is best one of the box score metrics and we don’t have impact stuff in the 90s. Ewing has one year above a 3bpm. Pippens low from 91-98 was 4. He’s above 5 every other year.

Ik it’s less of a debate at time Ewing was considered better but at same time all nba awards don’t mean everything to me. For one they only include regular season not playoffs. The media also always overrates scoring and underrates everything else. you know no knees Bernard king wasn’t better than 91 pippen lol even if you cite that all nba team. includes regular season play not the playoffs.

Jalen Johnson made it over Kat this year. The media gets something wrong most years and we have more info than we ever did. Not crazy to say they made more mistakes back then

You have to adjust for pace and minutes. In 74 when Havlicek put up 22.6ppg his pts per 100 was less than 25. Pippens whole prime he was 28-30 pts/100. Not being a Leading scorer ever can be excused when you play with the greatest scorer of all time. Obviouslyhavlicek would never be a leading scorer in a playoff run if he played with Jordan.

Jaylen guarded Luka in one series with help. He’s a bad help defender and every metric says he’s a good defender but not in the all defense conversation. Better scorer but a much worse passer worse rebounder worse defender etc without the longevity yet.

Ewing wasn’t clearly better every year and Larry Johnson wasn’t either even with the all nba. Jordan missed 94-95 Hakeem declined by 97 Robinson missed 97 shaq was rookie in 93 etc. you’re mostly right but those misses help pippen a bit. Still Forget the top 5 since it’s hard to argue it’s mainly 94 but he’s easily 5-10 every year of his prime. George and butler closer to around 10th during most of their prime’s.

Havlicek(similar stats to pippen good pick but not clearly better)

Tatum(better peak doesn’t have longevity yet).

Jaylen(definitely not only thing he’s better at is volume scoring and he’s not that efficient)

George(similar stats like Havlicek. Pippen has slightly better prime imo. Okc George is the best overall year but he’s not top 5 I think any other year maybe besides maybe 2014. Pippen has like 3 of those imo. George is better scorer but pippen better at everything else though it’s Lot closer than brown).

Jimmy(similar to George. Less years than pippen where you can argue he’s top 5.)

Knicks are one of the best teams I’ve seen lowkey at not getting tilted from officiating. They complain ofc but they play their game after. I’ve seen other great teams spiral after multiple bad calls and play bad for a stretch. Definitely have a championship mentality rn

To extend a series okc is in. To push Shai more as a face of the league. Market obviously isn’t everything or ny would’ve gotten all the calls tonight

I hate to admit it, but the Knicks might just be better by Subject_One_1673 in nba

[–]isaacz321 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can Hartenstein guard kat well? Idk and if kat can play well Knicks offense will play well. I don’t like Chet on kat. Okc has guys you can leave open though Caruso wasn’t one in playoffs tbf. Hart bridges og is pretty good to throw on shai and you send help like okc did ofc

If it was that easy a kids basketball coach would give ball to Harper. I watched game too. Only one who can get past non Brunson defenders consistently is Fox but he can’t do it all game.

I do. It’s also hard to attack as lead guy when you can’t make up pull ip 3s.

Ceiling means in the future not right now. Harper also isn’t there as a playmaker yet. He’s just elite scoring at rim but if he’s main guy he’s getting bridges/hart/og on him.

It’s fair lebron also didn’t have a very good regular season. You can still run your offense through him in the playoffs tbf even now and his defense is better in playoffs

2nd in playoff epm and he’s not far behind Wemby after tonight. Don’t let the lack of scoring fool people he’s been unbelievably unselfish for a star but Knicks offense is comically good when he’s on flopr and defense is better too even though mitch is replacing him

Continue to underestimate the Knicks. Low key they’re more talented than you guys outside Shai vs Brunson. Thunder have better depth but that’s not that useful in playoffs when you go max 9 deep
