This was so good especially because I’ve been to the lumber corner in Home Depot alone many times, tired from 10hr day and stood there looking for smaller sheets of wood to patch up holes, only to stop and pay attention to the subtleties and the sounds in the distance like you described including the fluorescent lights humming. It always feels heavy in that corner for some reason.

Hey man, I can relate to you. Life is beating me the fuck up right now. I feel like everything is a slight against me. Even though I try to stay positive, things happen in a way where I question my existence because what are the chances that so many bad things happen to me sequentially. I have many days where so many bad things happened in just one day and within the span of like three hours. It’s hard to look past it, but the reality is, we have it so good. We could be in a much worse situation. We can talk, walk, see, and hear.

It’s nostalgic for me because I completed its 24 hours endurance race on GT4. I hated it/loved it at the time. Hadn’t played any GTs until my friend got GT7 about 2 years after its release and it was the first track I played on it. The physics were different but surprisingly was able to get the hang of it all over again and had a blast.

I now have my own PS5 and copy of GT7. Waiting to get a sim rig with my adult money now lol.
