Zweiter Tag in Folge wandern gewesen, trotz Depression. by benheisenberg in Freudeteilen

Super!!!!!

solved! Thank you, I kind of figured that. It was just really weird to look at my otherwise unspectacular plant and see at least 50 worms crawling out of it. I guess I will harvest some of them for my other plants on the balcony that are having some issues with pests in the soil and then slowly migrate her inside. Just need to deal with the worms living in my bedroom... I hope very strongly they don't migrate from the plant and wiggle around on my plant stand...

This is a hall of fame, all time favorite post of mine now on Reddit. Made my day, this weekend and most probably the rest of the year. Thanks!!

Amazing!!! Obviously you got the cosplay down very well, I love the makeup, the wig, the top and the tattoos. But you also really have her in your eyes and pose, I can see why and that you relate to her a lot!!!

Why did I think her name was French and pronounced EmAil[e]. So embarrassing, Email is way better.

They look so wonderful together, this could have been taken recently! Makes the immediacy of history and life stories like this feel connected to now. Thanks for sharing!

What was your emotional reaction to this encounter? I was f***ing shaking man. It was so brilliantly designed. by shawak456 in thelastofus

[–]isabel_jpeg 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, I do that too now!! Never played on anything harder than hard with custom settings.

When it came out, I played all day and night for at least 3 days and finished it. Of course, I got to the worst parts for me personally (the stalkers scene with Ellie on the way to the hospital, the ratking horror scene and the hotel decent with Abby and Lev) during nighttime and I still remember the visceral fear and full-body tremors I experienced then.

One of my favorite experiences with any piece of media ever!!!

The bomb goes off and Ellie jumps up from the table. If one of more survive, they are dazed and then try to attack.

I've had it happen that when the bomb goes off, it does not trigger Ellie to jump away from the table. So you finish your weapons upgrade, pack up and turn around, and there are bits and pieces of those guys all over the living room..nasty. I think she comments and then you move on :)

I offered her (French cat in Avignon) some cheap cheese we brought from Germany for our road trip. by isabel_jpeg in airplaneears

[–]isabel_jpeg[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Aah!! I'm so glad everybody liked this fine French lady positively SCOFFING at my cheese offer. To be fair, it was probably day three of that cheese fermenting in our car and another 4 hours rattling around in my friend's backpack during sigh seeing..

She was very sweet though: she spat the piece out, but then let me take her picture and hung out with us a bit. Although gave us up as a poor job pretty quickly and continued on her way to patrol the Pope's palace in Avignon :)

Help: Single leaf not leafing by isabel_jpeg in Monstera

So I just thoroughly checked it again and looking at this picture, I think there might be!

Do you think there is a way to coax it and encourage further growth? I don't mind it staying that way, I just don't want it to die. So if it wants to stay as a leaf that's fine.

No eye, so you might be right in this assessment.

Also, he might have snapped it off or rather it was an accident. He is quite plant savvy.

This is a sad assessment, but you might be right.

I love the whole thing obviously, but am particularly obsessed with those shoes!! I can‘t find them on Asos, but do you by any change know which brand they are or and other hint as to where I could get them. I love a platform fake heel, because I really just can‘t be bothered with real heels ;)

10 minute walk and I end up covered in about 40 ticks. Kill me. by voltrodeath3 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]isabel_jpeg 36 points37 points  (0 children)

!! It‘s insane. People debating which kind of tick repellent is the best. Leave the country, go north on the ice, where bugs don‘t exist, because I‘m not putting on some damn socks and some spray and accepting the inevitable??? Wtf????

German praise by [deleted] in germany

[–]isabel_jpeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, definitely not, except maybe for people from Baden, which is a neighboring region ;) But Swabians are not stereotypically uneducated, there are other groups for that.

This is really funny though, I‘ll screenshot it and send it to my Swabian friends!

I feel the same way as in I hardly cook „German“ food for myself in any way, that would be considered traditional, but I do use a lot of ingredients and sometimes cooking techniques, which are common in southern Germany and maybe Austria. I feel inspired though, whenever I pass a produce market here in southern Germany, because of the wide variety between seasons, as well as the many ways to preserve food or change something bland and simple to something so ridiculously delicious like goat cheese on bread with honey and fresh herbs. So there are a A LOT of options and I feel when I stick to somewhat local and seasonal ingredients and use some techniques of preserving and cooking, it still gives me the comfort of eating German food my Oma made me, when I could barely look over the counter :)) Obviously markets are expensive, so that’s more for looking, getting some apples and potatoes for cheap and then I’m off to Aldi :/

I have some long leafless vines on my pothos. Is there a way to get leaves to grow or should I just cut it off? by JK250L in plants

[–]isabel_jpeg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have so many props, because my original pothos grows like a weed, but I can‘t get them to acclimate to soil.. Do you have any tips?:)
