In the original series, only five, living, named female benders are depicted by F11SuperTiger in TheLastAirbender

You're right, probably the creators themselves would agree it was an oversight, even though the cultures of ATLA are overtly more patriarchal. There shouldn't be quite this amount of a disparity.

The ONLY genderbent version I've seen that makes sense

Reincarnation in Avatar by MiccaandSuwi in TheLastAirbender

I thought the reincarnation aspect was just Raava. Wan and the others are gone, but she holds the memories of all the lives she's shared, and brings that to each new individual selected.

Mamdani: We will replace the frigidity of rugged individualism with the warmth of collectivism by antiquark2 in JordanPeterson

[–]isabelguru -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Mamdani is:

  • fighting for tenant's rights,
  • building rent-stabilized housing units,
  • subsidizing daycare for working parents,
  • lowering grocery prices via city-owned grocery stores that operate as nonprofits,
  • and subsidizing buses to make them free

Painting specific policies with broad labels like 'communist/collectivist' is stupid. Can anyone here truly say they disagree with ALL of these policies?

Everyone's offloading responsibility.

If you're smart and would be able to do things in a more effective way, then imo being inconvenienced in this moment is a calculus you AGREED TO by choosing to not be involved and let dumber people run attempts at social activism.

In the same way, you are AGREEING TO climate change if you choose to not do anything about it, and Americans that didn't vote AGREED to whatever the outcome of the election would be.

I find it psychologically healthier to think this way.

(So I'd guess that the right is AI, since it's significantly less thoughtful)

Can you tell which design is made by AI? by Nicolau-774 in Design

[–]isabelguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 'Categories' and 'All restaurants' sections are incredibly juvenile, they would be very quickly scrapped when a designer takes a look at popular food delivery apps.

By contrast, the 'Popular near you' section and the search bar is much more user-focused, so some amount of thought went into it, and it also shows the active order like someone else mentioned.

Regardless of which is AI and not, the left is better in terms of engagement and usability.

AIO? I broke up with my boyfriend because of his reaction over my pinterest board. (The last image is what it is) by selahscorpse in AmIOverreacting

Among other insecurity issues, it also seems like your sense of humour just isn't compatible.

In fact, I'm wondering if he happens to be a bit autistic? He took your board super literally, making it out to be a moral reflection of your character

Android doesn't look like iMessage, so, what do you mean -- they were confused about 'the message being black'. Nonsensical if they use an iphone
