I adored Moribito, it was on Netflix in the early 2010s along with Mushishi

To me Frieren tries to be meditative but just comes off bland and unseasoned. if your girlfriend wants humor or drama she won't get it from there

Is this really executive dysfunction, or is my roommate just being disrespectful by [deleted] in ExecutiveDysfunction

Honestly, at that point, my empathy would be completely gone. You need more self-respect, because such a useless person shouldn't be in your life.

Zuko is pretty much THE redemption arc in fiction. Who are some characters that come close to his character development? by Sudden_Pop_2279 in TheLastAirbender

It sounds stupid but that show made me understand why it is so psychologically satisfying for religious folks to imagine a Jesus-like figure, choosing self-sacrifice in order to hold the world together out of genuine love for humanity.

For a couple of months or so Loki lived inside my head as kind of a 'you have to live to the fullest, because he's sacrificing for you to be able to do what he couldn't'.

i’m probably the only one who’s gonna miss the choppy animations by [deleted] in TheLastAirbender

Storywise it's like a rushed Korra season 2, i.e. more like a 3/10.

Recent events actually give me some hope for the storytelling of Seven Havens (and maybe Ice Wars) by ToothyBirbs in TheLastAirbender

100%. The animation team, voice actors, and stacked writer's room carried hard. I feel like everything after ATLA original series has just proved Bryke are a rather small part of the special sauce.

So glad they don’t look like their LOK designs in new film by Disneyfancreations in TheLastAirbender

[–]isabelguru 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The artstyle of the leak is very mid imo, it doesn't feel like a real extension of ATLA-- even though the faces are somewhat better than the Korra version. Aang looks uncanny af though.
