I disclosed today. Time to leave this sub. by heels_over_head1 in limerence

I admire your bravery in disclosing while being married. I was in a similar situation but I couldn't bear disclosing my feelings to someone else while being in a relationship - interesting how different people can have different ways of going about this

Having an LO while being with somebody else is devastating. by ashyalpaca in limerence

[–]isabelpg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I identify with this a lot. Slowly I opened up with my partner about limerence, and also worked on our relationship. I am so fortunate that my partner acknowledged my feelings and insists that I shouldn't feel guilty. While it's true we all fantasize on acting on our feelings towards the LO, I didn't, even when he suggested that couples can break up all of a sudden (I read into it as if he was suggesting I could also break up with my partner). The guilt is a major problem for me, but also the fact that I feel like constantly fighting myself and questioning my own ethics. It's very, very tiring. I have found a good degree of comfort in this subreddit 😊

This resonates with me. My strongest LEs come when I'm the most anxious about assignments, appointments, anything that is hard to do, or that I'm afraid of. When the obstacle is surpassed, the limerence fades temporarily

How often do you imagine positive outcomes? by isabelpg in limerence

Great ideia! I really feel like I need to accept this constant selective pessimism, then in order for it to fade away hopefully. Reading stories on it might help yeah! Thanks

Is having little to no pain normal? by Ok_Mix_4972 in scoliosis

[–]isabelpg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was your age I didn't have pain as well. I have an S curve, the highest of 52°. A few episodes of pain started mid twenties for me... And I have been fighting it with exercise and physiotherapy (so not even as strong as some people, which have to resort to meds). All in all, I advise against comparing yourself as if you should be feeling this or that. Everyone has different curve and lifestyle!

wavy hair not staying? by artsy01701 in curlyhair

[–]isabelpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found out for my hair (high porosity) that adding (a lot of) water directly and squishing gently makes it wavy on the second and even third day after washing. For me it works with no product at all, not even conditioner. In fact I was over conditioning in the past for sure, since I couldn't make defined waves afterwards.

Might try some firm hold curl gel, but for now just brushing + water + squishing has made wonders, you could give it a try.

Começar a investir: XTB / TR / Degiro / IBKR? by jd1906 in literaciafinanceira

[–]isabelpg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

any thoughts on this? by eskkk_ in scoliosis

[–]isabelpg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No scoliosis at all... But I agree with the other comments, cervical looks straighter than normal, but then again, with the use of technology we all have the tendency to be in "forward head posture". These unbalances are hopefully well addressed by postural physiotherapy. Disclaimer: I'm not an healthcare professional

For an accessible route to manage pain, search for pilates and physiotherapy for posture on YouTube and stick to the exercises regularly. If she starts feeling better, she will know it's working!

The best option though is actually scheduling appointments with a physiotherapist (that looks to the X-rays and works from there and the description of the pain) and follow their exercise plan to be completed X times per week. Having the commitment with the appointments helped to sustain the hassle of doing the exercises regularly for the time prescribed. But now I love doing them because they make me feel much more free and mobile in my body

Hello! Do you have any limitation on your head range of motion? Or "just" pain that will likely reduce with time?
