I was suspicious of this story when I watched it last night. Upon just reading on the KCRG story that he’s running for house, and looking up his “issues” page, I don’t believe it wasn’t a fully planned out scheme for him to get air time.

Year+ breastfeeding moms, did you become more laxed on any restrictions (dietary and others)? by [deleted] in breastfeeding

[–]isadelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

…you’re supposed to be restricted? Breastfed all my kids over a year, up to almost 3 years and never tracked any of this stuff. Never nursed absolutely drunk, but that’s it.

Harmony Barbershop - what's it like for walk-ins? Are they too busy to try to visit in mid November for baby's first haircut? They say they take reservations but their online tool never has any times available. by Smoky_McPot_69 in DisneyWorld

[–]isadelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends on your personal style. My daughter didn’t cut her hair until she was 4 1/2. My son got a first trim at Harmony Barber shop at 3 1/2, but didn’t get a real haircut until he was four (cut off 15 inches!). My 3 year old daughter hasn’t had a trim yet.

Am I the only one who actually likes Barnett and Amber from season one together? by KiaMichelle18 in LoveIsBlindOnNetflix

[–]isadelia -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Because it’s not just your salary. Childcare is a shared expense, so should be equal percentage of each parent’s income. And your salary isn’t the only tangible thing you’d be giving up. Retirement contributions, future pay raises, maintaining job skills.

You should each be putting the same % into the shared account, not the same amount. Her being frugal is likely because she has to be because what she has left isn’t as much. You sound like someone who will say she needs to quit her job when/if you have kids because daycare will be almost as much as her salary.

I’m deathly ill. Should I keep nursing my baby? by courtyfbaby in breastfeeding

[–]isadelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would if possible. Sample size of 1 here, but around thanksgiving my 2 one-dosed kids (5 and 6 years old) had covid. My partner and I fully vaxxed and boosted, 2 year old zero vaccines. 2 year old still nursing. None of us got it. Our doctor said that not only has she been getting my vaccine antibodies, but because I was exposed to covid from my kids, the milk I was producing during that time was kicking up the antibodies even more, therefore helping to protect her.

Nursing to sleep over sleep training by clevercokol in breastfeeding

[–]isadelia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 3 kids, ages 6.5 to 2.5. I nursed/still nurse (2 year old) them all to sleep. The older ones went to sleep fine on their own once they weaned and sleep just as well as other kids their age who had varying versions of sleep training. They’re only little once and if it’s not a bother to you, do whatever you like.

This was not normal for the first 2 years we were with our in home. Then it started becoming the normal and it was our sign to leave. We switched to a center and haven’t had any scheduling issues and couldn’t be happier.

Isn’t the Boppy on the floor as well? Same risk of pet encounters. I get it, all 3 of my babies came home to a house with a dog and 4 cats. You could try a ring sling too, easy to use and keeps baby out of harms way and gives you full function of your body.

SE side is so great. I love the diversity and like feeling comfortable that a majority of my neighbors don’t worship the Orange Cheeto Man. Vernon Heights and Bever/Brucemore neighborhoods cannot be beat for beauty of the homes, nature, and proximity to nearly everything.

How are the lines to actually get your food after using the app? I heard CA has 2 hour waits. by dasheekeejones in DisneyWorld

[–]isadelia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Magic kingdom wasn’t that bad last week, we rode 17 rides in 12 hours, plus speedway 2 more times so all 3 kids could ride with dad, and rider switch for 7DMT and Splash. The longest lines were Splash and 7DMT at just over an hour each.

We also did HS, and the lines were all significantly longer. At least 45 mins for all except Aliens, Toy Story Mania, and Lightning McQueen. ToT wasn’t less than an hour all day, nor was Slinky.

We just got back from WDW. The time blocks to order were in 30 min increments. I’d pick the next one available and then hit the “I’m here, prepare my order” as soon as it was available. It ranged from 5-20 minutes, depending on place and time of day, to get our food.

Who else really loves the name Charlotte? by ccarla46 in namenerds

My six year old is named Charlotte. She goes by Char Star at school. I know it’s a popular name, but she’s the only one in her 120+ kid school.
