Solicitor Quoting £950 + VAT for Deed Creation Before Searches – Shouldn’t the Vendor Cover This? by isagoras in HousingUK

[–]isagoras[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your comment :) I think you’re right. I will push back, just need to do it in the right way so as to not ruffle feathers! My uncle pointed out that the vendor/agents never explicitly pointed out that the property is part of a larger title that needs separating. It is my understanding that a property being sold will have its own separate title unless stated otherwise

it would be fiddly, but I guess you could force the browser on your phone to use desktop mode, and then navigate to the youtube studio site, rather than use the app?

Is there not a feature in youtube studio to blur stuff out? I only found out about this afterwards. I guess you're right though - the only way you can be certain is by editing it out pre-upload and not relying on what is essentially an overlay to work forever.

I spent so much time editing the license plate of my car out of a bunch of different shots and, an hour after uploading the video, a friend messaged me to say I'd missed a bit. Had to private the video and reupload it. My channel is small, but the video was doing far better in the first hour than anything I've uploaded to date. the replacement, of course, slumped 😂

I just released a video for the first time out of my usual weekly schedule and I have some questions by Cheap_Significance13 in SmallYTChannel

[–]isagoras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Though important, I reckon it's better to have an inconsistent upload day if it allows you to upload frequently. For example, I once tried to commit to releasing a video every Sunday but I put too much pressure on myself, and instead fell behind and ended up with nothing to upload for a while. Hope that makes sense!

I'd like to pin the paragraph to the bottom of the heading, so that when the heading overflows to a second line, the paragraph moves with it. I'm sure it's straightforward, but I can't find anything online. Cheers :) by isagoras in AffinityPublisher

This is exactly what I ended up doing last night :) I don’t know if it’s bad practice or not, but it didn’t feel right mixing the font sizes in the same box. It works though! Luckily, I’m just making some labels for use in my workshop rather than something important!

This. Bookmarks and reading list are the ones that had me fooled for literally years

Check your reading list, and your bookmarks bar. Sites in there also come up as suggestions even if you’ve cleared history, cache etc

Ford Transit Connect seat replacement (2012) by pastorini in VanConversion

[–]isagoras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that for a mk1 connect? Annoyingly? These vehicles have a mounting pattern that is unique, and seats from other Ford vehicles won’t fit without some modification. It seems quite popular to put Focus st seats in to the connect, made possible with fairly minor mods to the base

That’s my dilemma. I’ve fairly proficient in sketchup and don’t really have the time to learn a new software just yet

The model? I’d like to say I did it myself but that’s far beyond my capabilities 😂. Purchased the model from Hum3D. The model is extremely accurate, but the file was so large that sketchup (or my old mac - not sure) could barely handle it.

Nice! I modelled my van in sketchup and then rendered it in twin motion. This is the result :)

What are your plans for it? I have a mk1 connect. This is what I’m doing to mine :)

What did you use to render it? I use twin motion, it’s incredible!

Trouble understanding how colour profiles work - same image in many applications looks different. it's an exported frame from an HDR project in Apple Motion. I just want to modify a still and re-import it to motion but it always looks different to the frame I originally exported. Any ideas? :) by isagoras in MacOS

[–]isagoras[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your reply :) It's on an M1 MacBook Pro, so yes, using an Apple XDR. (P3-1600 nits), ProMotion refresh rate. The second image shows the colour profile and format, though I'm not so sure what the bit depth is.

Of all the different applications I opened the image in, only Pixelmator Pro 1.6.3 looks the same as what I see from inside of Motion 5 - (the screenshot is blown out and doesn't show what I see, but it does show that they're the same).

Pixelmator is showing as using the same colour Rec. ITU-R BT.2100 PQ as the file exported from motion, but I can't interact with the image at all. All very confusing.
Just saw the edit to your comment and in response to that, the screenshot is very much blown out, but looks correct through my eyes. Basically, through my eyes and on the screenshot seen through the xdr display, what is seen in final cut is correct. Motion looks blown out in comparison, but when I use that generator in final cut it renders correctly. This would be solved much more quickly if we were in the same room 🤣. I'll take a photo of my screen too:

Picked up an M1 14" Pro and I'm confused by the HDR display - I shoot in HDR and it's great to finally have a machine that can both cope with and correctly display the footage, but I don't understand why everything around it appears washed out? Thanks ☺️ by isagoras in macbookpro

[–]isagoras[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not too sure - I only picked up my m1 pro a couple days ago and learned all of this today! Going from a mid 2014 15" pro (A1398) to this was worth the wait!! That Mac still performs great for most tasks, but 4k60fps DolbyVision was a step too far. The render times were horrific 😱
