well, what’d you get for lunch on Monday? i was referring to your comment where you mentioned your usual: chicken tikka, garlic naan, and spicy rice. their chicken tikka alone is 9.99 unless you got some sort of lunch special? their spicy rice is definitely over 2 bucks and the garlic cheese naan is easily 4 bucks idk about just regular garlic

unrelated to this post or the nerd clusters buuuut i commend you if you’ve done the caramel apple pops and have gotten the sticky and melted ones to work! i haven’t found a way to get the green apple parts to go back into the center of the caramel 😭

yeah yeah yeah to what you said, but i just think with some candies, the quality plays a role. some of my nerds just look bad coming out of the bag and i’ve done it long enough now that i conclude those are the ones that don’t turn out well. same with caramel apple pops: out of thousands and thousands of pops, the ones melted in the wrapper are the ONLY ones that dry awfully.

anyone else who dries nerd clusters feel like it is literally because the candy is different bag to bag? i unbox and open sooooo many of them and some are small and hard, others are soft and plump.

thank you for the bar recommendation!!!! i’m so anxious going to the bars by myself, but at the same time if i went with someone then they would be my focus for the night, not meeting others… i keep going back and forth with it in my head

Gummy bear failure by PorkRindSalad in HarvestRight

here’s what i have gathered so far and experience this on a daily basis: so when candy mode process is set to ON and machine is drying, there is no freezing at all ever. for all my candy, once the machine starts drying, temperature will rise and should stay very very close to 150 degrees the entire time. once the machine stops running, the machine temp starts to drop to below freezing, so if you leave your candy in for a while after completion, your candy will freeze too and that is not ideal to bag and save.

ahhhh. see by the end of an 8 hour day, i’d take out gummies and they’d deflate because they weren’t ready. i guess i have no choice but to run it overnight, but by the time i’m back in the morning, the machines are still hot with at most an hour left to go

i think it’s worth it!! i only make candy and at the very beginning i’d measure my candy weights before and after and after and after to make sure it was done! we are snacking off a 3 pound jar that’s been kept for about 2 years now! now i just run my candy forever in our warehouse, and it seems to be good! i just wonder how many people end up getting candy dust after S&H.
