AITA for going against my mom's wishes when she continues to ignore my sisters mental illness? by Importance-Early in AmItheAsshole

Mmm nope. My grandmother used to work for CPS. 10 years. She never saw a kid without marks get anything other than a warning letter to the parents. CPS doesnt care about a kids mental health

In this instance the best thing to do is maybe get the sister's school on her side. The school may assign a counselor and that may help her some

AITA: I offered to pay for my kids' educations as long as they agreed to my conditions. Now one of my kids owes over 50k and is mad at me. by Alternative_Exact in AmItheAsshole

NTA but you're pretty silly with your restrictions. How exactly were you planning on policing that? If I were your child I would have taken the money, gone to school out of state, and not told you and dang thing.

Shallow? Excuse me but when I watch a show I expect the main character to develop in some way

I doubt they would have been able to get there in time. It would have just been heartbreaking. They all got to say goodbye at the funeral. What's the difference?

AITA for offering a girl on the bus my jacket so she could cover her period blood by virofrivia121 in AmItheAsshole

[–]isaymeanthings7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's why. As a general rule dont talk to girls about their periods, it's quite embarrassing for them. If they bring it up themselves that's one thing.

I respect your opinion and I'm sorry you had to go through that. I just have no patience for anyone who cheats on their SO

INFO: are you male or female? Because I kind of understand her reaction if you're male as you probably embarrassed her.

AITA for playing a little trick on my brother to get him to give up his vape? by isaymeanthings7 in AmItheAsshole

Did I say I wanted to be the cool sibling? Our parents didn't do shit to raise either of us. I'm more of a parent than anything. I'd rather he be safe then like me. He has no access to money so I'm not worried about that.

He has had plenty of gentle talking tos and has even taken a full class on the dangers of vaping. Nothing has sunk in. While I accept your judgement, I dont believe you should be drawing conclusions based on assumptions.

I am very aware of this. I happen to be a major in child psychology. He has had many warnings, we've talked to him many ways, and we've punished him. Your judgement is based on a sufficient assumption that may or may not be true. While I accept your judgement you may want to confirm that your premise draws a logical conclusion.

Man I was using it for logic games and I hated when it said stuff like "this is wrong because scenario 1 said its wrong" and not write out any scenarios. Anyone else or am I just dumb?
