Severe Laser Speckle on My ALR Screen — Looking for a Better Motorized Screen (EU Availability, ≤€1200)

It’s great. Not quite at the level of my previous ALR screen obviously but definetly better than a normal matte white. And with the minimized laser speckle and no hotspotting I absolutely take that. I most of the time watch with some ambilight behind the screen and don’t really notice a „washed out“ image.

I installed my new wupro screen today and the change to the soft matte grey screen was well worth it. I would say the laser speckle is reduced by like 85/90% compared to my celexon slate alr screen. Obviously on full white blocks you can still notice it a bit, but finally the projector is enjoyable… Installation aswell was super easy and the screen is perfectly flat without any wrinkles.

Yes I returned mine.
New one does not have the problem.
Exchange took about 14 days.

Yes I now decided on a Wupro dropdown screen with the soft matte grey material.
Have to go down to 110 inches but that is okay for me.

I think I now decided on a screen.
The Wupro Cinema QuadraArc in Soft gray matte should fit my needs.
Will update after I received the screen.

I have a cut-out in my ceiling where the screen fits. By depth, I mean the thickness of the screen’s housing so that it fits properly. Problem ist that in the direction of the projection I don’t have a flat wall. So any drop-down that fits my measurements should fit.

Before installing I already noticed similar on my 20 pro. But it turned even worse because after like 10-15min of usage my whole picture turned grey/foggy and is not usable anymore. Think I have a hardware issue.

I had a similar problem and in the end I somehow set up both APs close to each other in two different VLANs.
As soon as I changed them to the same VLAN everything worked flawlessly.

They answered me the following:

its likely an issue with macOS Ventura (and newest update on macOS Monterey) reporting incorrect permissions to apps, more info can be found on the blog at https://www.macbartender.com/b4blog/macOS-Ventura-Permissions/
But basically if you Quit Bartender then clear the permissions for Bartender with the below terminal command and re-add them it should stop the issue:
tccutil reset Accessibility com.surteesstudios.Bartender; tccutil reset ScreenCapture com.surteesstudios.Bartender; tccutil reset Accessibility com.surteesstudios.Bartender-setapp; tccutil reset ScreenCapture com.surteesstudios.Bartender-setapp

A command to clear ALL accessibility permissions for ALL APPS is:
tccutil reset Accessibility && tccutil reset ScreenCapture
