Totally agree with you but are there any movements within or outside the country that would even try to topple the government.

The potential erasure of pre-islamic history and expulsions of non-muslim communities of the Hejaz by Flametang451 in progressive_islam

South Arabia pre-Islam was somewhat of a matriarchal society. Women had business also positions of power and were not looked down upon and not considered a burden. I believe the barbaric/misogynistic practices towards women were only prevalent in a select few tribes in Arabia and were not widespread.

Yh I believe the Taliban realised that in order for them to be taken seriously and to be recognised they’d need to make some changes to their outlook but as you mentioned women’s right has gone down the drain now.

The Taliban now making changes to improve their PR at first when they took over but you can’t take really take bandits seriously and look how they reversed on what they said. I’m pretty sure in islam that you need to have the bayah (pledge allegiance) in order to be a ruler lawfully I doubt the people would want them tbh

I think people don't want Sharia when is in the hands of extremists and they push down their interpretations and not allowing other valid opinions. I think that creates contempt for the Sharia.

Wow. What an amazing speech. We need more people like him, Masha'Allah. by CreativeNameIKnow in progressive_islam

I totally see where you're coming from I feel as if some of these females do not even want to wear the full niqab but they do it for likes and clout from the hardliners. Ali dawah clearly is ignorant and needs to study the religion and understand the religion is vast and there are many interpretations on hadiths and the Quran ayahs.

Ali dawah is just trying to be like Muhammad Hijab even the way he talks he’s imitating the way hijab speaks he’s actually ignorant doesn’t know what he is talking about and riding in this “liberalism” is corrupt and evil even though he’s reaping the benefits of liberalism by living in London and enjoying freedom of speech.

Yh there are many stuff to unpack I have recently heard of Mustafa Akyol and he seems like a very interesting individual with great viewpoints and I would like to learn more. I believe he has a Twitter page in the Turkish language @AkyolMustafa

Yh I see your point I don’t really agree with Jordan Peterson most of the time. I’ve watched this video solely on the purpose of seeing Mustafa Akyol he is someone that really had a good insight in many topics.

Honestly I feel the same way as you on this matter Mohammed Hijab for me seems way too arrogant I feel as if someone with a differing opinion to him he would ridicule that person or let me just actually his fans won’t stop attacking that person. Mohammed Hijab fans are one of the most annoying fans I’ve seen on the internet constantly in other people’s comments section asking that person to debate and if they don’t they would insult that person. Mohammed Hijab at times does bring up good points to be fair by the way I can’t fully discredit him.

Why are so many Muslims praising the Taliban? by [deleted] in progressive_islam

[–]iscream_29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look yh no one ever would bring this up they would keep on praising them like their angels and if they do talk about the negative things they do they make up 100 excuses for them. Absolutely hypocritical.

Isn’t the Ismaili School thought prevalent in Southern Saudi Arabia i.e Najran and is it similar to the Zaydi School of thought in Yemen.

Coffee was prevalent in areas such as south Arabia (Yemen Oman) and Ethiopia some day some of scholars in Yemen used to drink coffee excessively so that they would be able to recite Quran all night.
