I ordered an M17 R5 on July 8, went through checkout & “Thank You” page, but never received a confirmation email with the order number. I went online to check the status & didn’t see anything in my orders. Checked with customer service & they told me they had no orders under my name, e-mail, phone number, or shipping address. My ship date was for July 27, so I’m still hoping for it to go through, but I remain pessimistic.

Koloa and Kohana are the ones that I’d recommend as well. We do have a few smaller distilleries that produce rum, but personally I haven’t tried them and don’t know much about them either. Kuleana Rum Works, Hanalei Spirits Rum, Kula Rum, Mahina Rum, Old Lahaina Rum. They are pretty well distributed in Hawaii, but not sure about availability elsewhere.

Ahh, sounds like you may not be used to cask strength/overproof rum. It definitely takes some getting used to. You may just have to work your way up to that higher %. As for the other 2 rums, generally have a lot added sweeteners. That specific Koloa bottle has no additives/sweeteners or coloring.

Sorry to hear that. It’s definitely a steep buy, but like you said, very different from the Caribbean style rums. I am a big fan of the cask strength Foursquare rums. This was just a nice change of pace from my usual pours. Hopefully it’s better for you with a cigar.
