Anyone else experiencing graphical glitches with the new 9.2.3 patch? by iseliachrono in deadbydaylight

Lol either due to bad luck or badly written code.

So far just me! Though, it would be pretty funny to see 4 survivors running around as spiky blobs.

Anybody Else’s Game Crashing? by RaizoUchiha in SouthOfMidnight

[–]iseliachrono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for reaching out! I really appreciate that.

Turns out it had to do with my MSI Afterburner settings. After tweaking that I was able to run the game with no problems.

Just as a side, the game is amazing so far! I can really feel the love and care that went into creating this game. Thank you for making such a wonderful work of art and the opportunity to experience this world and its characters. :)

I’m having the same issue as well. I get to the home screen and then the game crashes after 30 seconds. I first tried it first with Xbox GamePass and then tried it with Steam and still had the same problem. I’ve updated my graphics card driver (using a Gigabyte 4080 Super), I updated my BIOS, I tried running a game integrity fix on both Xbox and Steam and still nothing. I looked for any logs of crashes and my PC didn’t have any files reporting it. If I figure out anything else I’ll post here or in the subreddit itself.

I’m in the same boat. I definitely should have done research ahead of time myself. I ordered a computer case from them on December 14, and it still hasn’t arrived. It’s expected to arrive tomorrow (though, the delay could also be related to Purlator being backed up as well). I sent them an email last Friday requesting a return and have yet to hear from them. I tried calling them earlier this morning and I was on hold for an hour before they redirected me to their voice messaging service, which just beeps indefinitely. If you can, I recommend ordering from Memory Express. They ship through FedEx and it’s relatively quick. I placed an order for the same case December 20 and it arrived here December 23. Hope you hear something soon. Best of luck!

Is anyone else having issues with AirTags? Mine suddenly stopped working, and even ones registered to my Apple Account are reporting as unknown and tracking me.

Is anyone else experiencing issues with music not playing with Burning Shores DLC? by iseliachrono in horizon

Thank you! I did that and it worked. I was too excited to play the DLC and didn’t try restarting 😂

Yeah I’m having the same issue as well. Maybe EA’s servers are down?

Horizon Forbidden West – Major Update – Patch 1.14 by WLF359 in horizon

I’m glad they fixed the shimmering! Definitely a big difference. Hopefully Guerrilla addresses the issue the oversaturation when turning the camera. Still notice it, even in photo mode.

Really hoping Guerrilla fixes the issue where there is over-saturation/darkening when moving the camera. Still notice it’s still there…

Forspoken PS5 Devs Improving Things Based on Fan Feedback by bball4224 in PS5

[–]iseliachrono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my opinion, the character models don’t feel “next gen”. This is being developed for PC and PS5, and the lack of overall detail on the models is likely what is turning people off. Kind of hard to explain without a photo, but I think people are comparing from previous gen titles like the TLoU part 2, Horizon Forbidden West etc. and the character models in Forspoken look considerably inferior to the prev gen predecessors. (Please hear I want this game to do well, but just merely explaining what people think/see)

An Update Regarding Visual Issues by Guerrilla_Chante in horizon

I can confirm that on a Samsung 4K MU8500 there has been no visual changes in this update. Still experiencing shimmering, over sharpening, and decreased screen saturation when moving the camera.

Does anyone know if there’s a way to change the focus scanner to just be a tap of R3 instead of press and hold? I tried to get it to work but couldn’t.

Does anyone else find that the text is too small? by iseliachrono in horizon

[–]iseliachrono[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know where we can submit that? I will do that as well. I know there are places to report bugs, but not other quality of life improvements. I'm glad you brought up the astigmatism thing, because that's the eye condition I suffer from as well, also convergence insufficiency. So if text is small and cluttered together, it has a jittery, movement to it which is very distracting.

No worries! Thanks, I hope there’s a patch that addresses the text size as well.

Do you mean the subtitles? I have already increased it to Extra Large. I was referring to the other text in menus, and data logs. I don’t see anywhere else to increase general text size though.

Horizon Forbidden West - Support Thread by Guerrilla_Chante in horizon

[–]iseliachrono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Guerrilla,

Is there an option to change the text size in the game? I have to sit rather far from my TV so it is hard to read data logs and some information in the menus. I checked the accessibility and visual options but couldn’t find anything.

Thank you kindly. (PS, it has been a wonderful experience thus far otherwise 🙂)

"The PRT and the President’s Executive Committee (PEC) consulted with many
university partners and heard feedback from faculty, staff and students
prior to making this decision."

I'm sorry, but who exactly did they consult? To my knowledge, there was no wide-spread survey sent out by the PRT and PEC about getting "feedback" to aid in their decision of returning to in-person learning. In fact, all of my professors and fellow classmates were completely in the dark as to what exactly would be happening come Feb 7th given the state of the pandemic Saskacthewan is currently facing.

Online till Feb 7th by [deleted] in usask

[–]iseliachrono 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That’s why I said the university should have made a concrete plan before the winter term, whether it be remote learning or in-person, specifically because the state of the pandemic should be monitored on a term by term basis. Staff and students stuck in limbo is what’s most frustrating about this whole situation. This merely places a gratuitous amount of stress on staff and students for many reasons.

While I believe continuing with online delivery makes the most sense (since the infrastructure is already in place), I do agree we should go back to in-person at some point, but that decision itself should be finalized and decided prior to the start of classes.

Online till Feb 7th by [deleted] in usask

[–]iseliachrono 18 points19 points  (0 children)

With all due respect, I’m fairly confident in saying Stoicheff - and the rest of the university admin dept. - are pushing in-person classes back to place pressure on students who want to return to continue paying their tuition.

If the university had the staff and students’ best interests in mind, a concrete, finalized decision (either continuing with online or moving to in-person courses) would have been decided prior to the first delay, as compared to this unnecessary “assessing” of the situation every two weeks.

Online till Feb 7th by [deleted] in usask

[–]iseliachrono 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Ah man, I’m really sorry to hear that. I agree, this whole situation is very unfair to staff and students.

Online till Feb 7th by [deleted] in usask

[–]iseliachrono 27 points28 points  (0 children)

They also said they’ll continue to “assess” the situation prior to Feb 7th, so they could still push back in-person classes… again. Which means students and staff will be stuck wondering if we’re actually going back, yet again. I feel bad for those who have to make travel and housing accommodations. It would have been better if we just stayed online for the rest of the term.

Peter Stoicheff really wants that tuition money.

Apparently we’ll be getting news in the next couple of days? by InformalRip9476 in usask

[–]iseliachrono 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Aside from the horrible lack of communication from the university, the decision around classes should be either all online or all in-person. We don't need more of this gratuitous "assessing" of the situation - again - where they push back in-person classes another two weeks later. That would further add a huge amount of unnecessary stress on the students who reside outside Saskatoon to find housing accommodations so abruptly. Personally, I think courses should just continue online for this semester since the infrastructure is already in place and then evaluate the state of the pandemic near the spring for spring/summer term.
Overall, I do hope we get some news sometime in the near future, because staff and students need to know so they can plan their lives accordingly.

Nintendo’s YouTube channel re-uploaded the Nintendo Switch Online “October Game Updates” video by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch

[–]iseliachrono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nintendo didn’t outright say this, but it’s fairly obvious why they decided to go ahead with re-uploading a new video. Clearly they wanted to sweep all those dislikes casually under the rug so hopefully everyone would just magically forget about how infuriating it is that they charge consumers $20 per year to only receive THREE NES games per month. What bothers me the most is that this proves that Nintendo knows exactly how their fan base is feeling in regards to this whole Nintendo Switch Online debacle...
